O line didnt look good at all. Bray could have used more time and the RB's didnt have a chance half the time. Glad Poole got the big run at the end for his march to 1000. I really thought Oku might have a breakout game too.

Bray will be fine. The handcuffs will be off next week.

Are you kidding me? What about the passes that should.... no scratch that, HAVE to be caught for any qb to be successful that were not? What about the penalties that brought back big plays and left him in long play downs? 1st and 20, 30 and 10+ downs. It's is his 3rd start and 3rd win. One more and he salvages this dismal season. No way in Hellllllllllllllllllllllllll you win this game with anyone else on the roster playing qb.

This is not the same team taking the field 4 weeks ago. There is confidence, swagger and converting 3rd downs for a friggin' change. Take away the penalties and this game is at least 38/10.

Some of you UT fans are completely unrealistic in your expectations.... hate to be your kid.

Really guys, this is Bray's 3rd game as a starter. Questioning him right now is insane. He was bound to have an off game, luckily it came against Vandy.

First INT looked like a communication mistake to me, I thought hunter pulled off the go route. The second INT he didn't step into it because of the blitz. Just freshman mistakes imo. He's going to be a great QB.

There were a lot of deep routes for a QB that was unsettled.

No the game wasn't fun to watch. The outcome of the game was never really in question either. We had one TD called back, one dropped and a PI call that kept points off of the board.

A 14 point win against an SEC opponent is about the best you can ask of this team.

I feared an int every single time Crompton dropped back. Not with Bray. I doubt we ever see a QB as bad as Crompton take the field again.

You Would like to think you could lean on your running game a little more to take the pressure off Bray. It ain't there, and needs to be next week.

Ain't this the truth? I almost *expect* us to convert third downs now.

Jones appears to be Bray's go-to on 3rd down, and so I should give him some credit as well. He has a knack for taking a short pass and wiggling his way to the sticks. He isn't the home run hitter that Moore is, but he is the best route runner on the team and plays the role of the "mid-range" receiver very well.

Both INT's were throws under pressure. As soon as Bray released those balls he was getting hammered. He will learn not to force those up and either try to avoid the pressure or throw it away. Although it was Vandy, they were playing pretty darn good D in the second half. Bray was awesome early on, I think 12 of 16 with 2 TD's. This was practically Vandy's "bowl game" against their arch rival and nemesis, and I think Bray probably seen their best D of the year in that second half. Good learning experience for him. This guy is going to be a stud, I just gotta feeling. As Bray and our O-Line improve, this offense has the potential to be very explosive the next couple years.

I think the reality of the matter is that this team was never meant to be a run-to-setup-the-pass type of outfit. Our personnel lends itself much better to a pass-to-setup-the-run philosophy. That's gotta be our M.O., and so we are pretty heavily reliant on an inexperienced QB. That is never ideal, but he is doing quite well. I was glad to see him take some lumps today to sorta get out of his system. I'll think we'll see a strong performance from him against UK.

Kentucky's defense won't be any worse than Vandy's, based on our o-line's performance tonight, Bray will feel the heat then too. Our offense either sputters or gets a crazy TD bomb.

Vanderbilt got the ball back plenty of times but couldn't convert them into points. Kentucky will.

I'm not ripping on Bray at all, he's the reason we are winning games right now. I want to see Chaney take down the risk factor a few notches; Kentucky is NOT an opponent we can afford to lose the turnover battle to.

Statistically, their defense is better in almost every category than Vandy.

Not saying its all-star, but on the season its better than what we faced tonight.

Bottom line, my opinion is that Kentucky will likely not repeatedly shoot themselves in the foot on offense like Vanderbilt did tonight and that we are going to have to find a way to take better care of the ball. Turnover battle is key key key. Bray chucking it deep a couple times every drive will not get this done. We might have a bit more success rushing, but not much.

You would hope the staff would adjust whatever our O-line issue was tonight. I expect them to be pretty mediocre, but on both picks the untouched linebacker was a bit much. I'm surprised we never used a screen.

If were -2 in TO's against Kentucky we will lose. Bray is our biggest turnover risk by far. He makes some pro throws, but he also throws some headscratchers.

That would be making them all 2-3 years older, 30-40 pounds heavier and improving footwork and awareness greatly. We are simply not good up front. The playcalling needs to be adjusted accordingly. Bray succeeded against Memphis and Ole Miss squads with bad secondaries and poor pass rushing and a lot of our offensive success has come from deep plays.

And you were right, punt returns are our biggest TO risk. Bray is right behind.

We gave Vandy the ball 3 times and they kept it close until late in the 4th. We do that against a team that is even slightly better, such as Kentucky, and it's going OT, or worse, result in a L.
