There are very few meals as good as the chicken fried chicken covered in gravy with mashed potatoes, dumplins, fried okra and biscuits with a glass of sweet tea to wash it down from Cracker Barrell.

I'll guarantee if bray spent any time there he'd "bulk up".

Hobock - I always let the wife get that and then steal it. :)

Forgive me...I will never again underestimate your ability to consume the entire menu.

One thing I can assure you of is I can kick your butkus at the "golf tee genius" game...:)

If my arteries would allow it I'd eat it daily. I love the stuff.

Fry at okra in olive oil and you can have it as often as you like-----olive oil helps to unclog the arteries. 'Course you will want to exercise some to avoid that spare tire.

You guys are making me hungry and home sick for some real food. Up here my only consolation is they have pretzel sandwiches--yep that is a big bun made from pretzel dough--everything tastes good on it!

Okay, there are also deep fried twinkies at the York Fair every year, otherwise we're lost up here!

Well, you never ate mama's cookin. If mama opened up a place next to cracker bbl, they'd have to close in two weeks. I do not understand the affinity to CB. Worst excuse for country cooking I ever experienced. No fresh veggies and what they have is cooked to death. I ate there last week with some visiting friends----horrible.

If you ever get a chance, try Lambert's in Sikeston, Missouri. THAT is the way country restaurants should be...

I cannot argue that. I just don't get to eat there as often as I can CB.

I personally cannot understand how there isn't one in Pigeon Forge.

Mallard's in Hendersonville is good. Another one just opened called Our (or My?) Place Cafe in Hendersonville. There used to be an awesome country place family owned in White House until Taco Bell bought the land. F&*()ers!!!. The used to have the best apple fritters.

Hey you only live once.....might as well enjoy it while you can....I LOVE me some chicken n' dumplins
I do concur. Yard-bird and dumplins is towards the top of my list. However, pork tenderloin, green beans, mashed potatoes, a roll the size of Texas and a glass of sweet tea = I'm as happy as "Buddy the Elf" at Christmas.

He's still just 18, 19 tops, once he starts eating southern food on a regular basis he will put the weight on!! Also about 500 grams of whey protein a day!!!

500 grams of protein a day? really you have to be joking?? surely you know the human body can only process so much and if you took that much whey in a day you would sh!t about 85 percent of that out.
