(Bray) watching sec quarterbacks so far

I gotta say I'm kinda dissatisfied witg Bray this year. I wasn't totally sold on him being great this year but watching the play of other quarterbacks in the SEC I just don't see the confidence like you do in AJ McCarron, Murray, Shaw, bo Wallace, Driskel. These other guys don't get effected like Bray does. It's very disappointing cause of the weapons he has to throw to. Also the constant throwing behind the receivers especially hunter on huge third downs. He just doesn't seem to have the mental toughness. That being said I hope he has a fantastic game and UT wins big!

think AJ McCarron has less talent than any of the QBs you named. But he has a National Championship and i seen today on ESPN he has NOT thrown an int in 8 straight games. You don't turn the ball over and you win games.

You must not have watched Murray last week against South Carolina.

I was wondering if I was the only person not blaming TB and our O for this season. The D has to step up. Im hoping that they used the bye week to work on their issues. If they have we will be dangerous tonight!

Yes. It's the defense right now, I think people are still stuck in their rut of blaming Chaney from last year. Here's hoping the D comes off the bye week tonight vastly improved.

Agree. Even with an average D we could be 5-0 and ranked in the top 10. We need the D to start showing up and we could play with most teams in the country.

I agree that the D is the worst part, but the D did give Bray 3 opportunities to tie the game. They got the stops when the game was on the line, and Bray failed. I wouldn't care if he had gone 4 and out, but fumbling and throwing picks when he did as a junior leader is unacceptable.

Cant wait till the game. Going to my favorite sports bar and watch DD coach our Vols to a Big win. Come on defense step it up and prove yourself. TB, you just captain your O and run up the score. Lets get excited and let them feel our mojo. GO VOLS, VFL !!! gotta go now

from reading this u could point fingers at everyone for some type of reason..it comes down to leadership of the team and to keep our players fired up to play 60mins of football...and bray has not showed me any type of leadership...he gave up in the FL game and had 2-3 chances in the Georgia Game and Messed it up that being said...yes the defence has let up some big key plays...they also made some big ones to get some points on the board before half time...we need to work as a team and get fired up! i want to see screaming.... i want to see pushing...i want to see smacking...Get Fired up!! cause Tonight WE "The Vols" Get Tested...So Lets Prove To The SEC We Want This!!!

Did you see Murray against SCar?
I would definitely not include him in a list of mentally sound qbs...

As an opposing fan this JMO. Bray has as much talent as anybody in the SEC and possibly the country. I just question his attitude and how mentally sound he is. Have to wonder what he would be like if he was tutored by a guy like Cutcliff.

Tyler Bray brings us back from down double digits twice vs UGA and then gets threads that say "he can't get it done" and "no mental toughness". Hell, he did everything he could to keep us in the Florida game, but Justin Hunter and Cordarelle Patterson completely dropped the ball. Literally.

Some people here really make my head hurt.

Georgia fumbling twice brought us back. The offense got the spark from the defense.

Yeah, the defense made all the throws and the reads. I certainly don't recall the defense being the reason our offense got a spark in the 2nd half, either.

And if you're going to credit the defense for "sparking the offense", blame the defense for giving up 51 points. When the offense scores 37 points, you should never lose the game.

I get that I get that. His numbers are good but when the big game is on the line he bombs. He's not even considered for the heisman. Don't get me wrong I want him to be the best. I'm just a little frustrated.frustrated

The big problem with Bray throwing a bad pass is this. His next pass will be perfect, and the receiver will drop it.

Worley run the show for a while. It wouldn't be difficult to find someone that makes better decisions than Bray. Especially since we are having success running the ball this half.
