Just cuz he was the player of the year doesn't mean he's better than Simms college football is a lot tougher than high school and experience is everything

I heard a guy the other day mentioned Dooley sitting Bray against LSU and Bama to keep him from getting hurt. Ooops....

I know when Simms dropped back to pass the ball last night there were a couple of times i must have yelled throw the dang ball already about 3 times before he finally did. He holds the ball way to long but he played Bama Lsu and the first half of USCe game last year, he's actually pretty dang tough and our best option at this point. We could just run the option every play i guess, maybe then most of our players would make it out of october alive lol.

with a fractured thumb. Per a poster on VQ. No MRI yet, but that's the early word. TIFWIW

THIS...in red!!!!! How many other people are going to start useless threads regarding injuries that contain zero facts? Don't title a thread "Bray out 4 to 6 weeks" without facts!

Simms got benched and took it hard but stayed and is a good qb! I am glad he stayed and gets a chance to play some important games!

With Murderer's Row up next, it doesn't matter so much. Everybody knows we're gashed. We'll be playing against second and third strings for much of LSU and Bama, probably. That'll give us two weeks to adjust as best we can for USCe, and MTSU can restore some confidence.

Word is they were checking the lights in the scoreboard to make sure it'll display a third digit in preparation for LSU...

If it's on VQ it must be true. Regardless of the lack of facts.

USCe wants to know if we'll paint one of the checkerboards garnet and black, since they plan on having more fans in the stadium than we do.

JK... but I do wonder how low attendance will drop after LSU?

Didn't Ainge play with a broken thumb or am I making that up?
No, it was his pinky on his throwing hand. I can't remember if it was broken/sprained/etc though. I remember he taped it to his ring finger. A pinky is not as important as a thumb, you can grip without using your pinky.

Simms will be fine- our offense couldn't get any worse than last night. Don't discount him because of last year. Our O-line was the worst in the nation. Simms would have won those final 4 games also.

So with him being hurt he will come in next season being told he hasn't seen any good defenses.

after October there WONT be a season cause it will be OVER!!! Heck we will be LUCKY to win even ONE game rest of the season..I just hope Bray isnt hurt that bad...yeah we need him bad for SC onward...but if Simms plays rest of the year we might beat MTSU if we luck out and that might be it. who knows...prob will be lucky to beat UK and Vandy...looks like either 4-8 or a 5-7 season...:cray:

Bray clearly said "it's broken" when he was getting medical attention on the sideline. I'll wait for the official word, but it's not good when the injured person says that.

You can blame our lack of a running game on Bray's injury. He's definite one of the best passers UT has had in a long time.
If he's out, our lack of a running game and our best wide receiver done for the year, we may be lucky to win three more games this year.
