Pretty good move, even from my standpoint. Bray's obviously the future while Simms was brought in to tread water as much as possible.

Does anyone see the problem this could cause?
Simms has the respect of the players...OL and WR's......

This decision could cause a rift in the locker room........

Bray has the upside and at 2-6....might as well work on the future, but what does that mean for this year!????????

Locker room rifts lose their significance when you're 4 games behind .500. If you're going to buy into this staff you might as well start now.

Are we reading too much into the change?
From what Dooley has said, neither guy has really stepped up and claimed the job with his play.
Just changing the starting order.
If Bray doesn't perform, rest assured, he'll get the hook and you'll see Simms.

6-6 is the best you can do. That's what it means for this season.

I still think we should have waited to turn Bray loose. Let him gain a little more practice experience, end of game snaps, especially let him put on some more size.

But for better or worse, he's our guy now. I see him looking spectacular in three of our remaining games, and having one mistake-riddled one, either Kentucky or Ole Miss.

Again...Some players have told me they really respect Simms....will that cause a rift in the locker room?

I agree with the decision.....but could it hurt the chance to win out and get to a bowl this year???

Hey.....I said I like the decision....It is the right choice.....I know what I have been told, before those comments were made. Simms has been beaten up and gotten up each time. I DON'T LIKE his recent comments. I agree that he my be losing his teammates based on those quotes. Point is........How may upper classmen will have Simms back? That is needed in football. Just a question???

Don't think that's the issue. Mainly because the offensive line is mostly Freshmen and he seemed to be shoving them under the bus with those comments. In my opinion at least....

All the upper classmen want is to win out and go bowling. Whatever QB helps them do that they will support.

REALLY???? Then bench more that half the QB's, WR's, and RB's in the 120 FBS teams in the country!

Sounds like the right decision to me, and at Memphis this Saturday will be a great way for him to get his feet wet.
