"Don't be suprised" if he commits, because "I heard a rumor" from my best friend's wife's college roommate's aunt heard CEO mention his gulf coast trip with Julio Jones where he caught a "big fish."

Does it strike anyone else as somewhat odd that what Bray told UTsports is directly opposite from what Prehm was reporting here just a few days ago?

At any rate, I like our chances here. I think signing a rising four-star kid like Bray will by the lynchpin in the second part of our class, and solidify a top 7 finish.

He also says he needs to talk it over with his coaches and family later in the article. ((“After the trip, I’ll see how things go and compare (the two schools) with my coaches and my family. We’ll see where that takes us.” -Tyler Bray.)) Quotes can be misleading, I don't think he meant he was going to commit on the spot only that he may commit here at some point. It would be helluva nice to see us pick a QB up this weekend, but I'm not expecting it. Either way, I do think he will have to redshirt, not many true freshman are ready to be starting SEC QB's. I think the ball is in Stevens' hands next year regardless of who we sign.

I think we need another Bray thread. Somebody start one. About the rock needing to get painted for him or something like that...

Other options include:

a.) Bray = Big Fish
b.) Bray is Better than Scroggins
c.) SDSU? Really?
d.) Had a vision Bray commits this weekend

He said in an interview on Sports Animal that he will commit to Tennessee if he likes the visit. I think we will probably get him and we will probably have to fight to keep him. The only quarterback to outperform him at the Elite 11 was Heaps. So yes during that camp
Bray > Scroggins.

If things go well I think he will commit Monday or Tuesday. He has already said he wants to return home and discuss everything with his family and coach. I would be shocked if he committed while on his visit.

bray is gonna love UT. what recruit that has visted hasnt loved it here.

Has he ever been to Neyland for a game?

If not...there is no way he won't be completely blown away by this weekend.

You know the stadium will be rocking in Kiffin's first game...we'll most likely blow out the team we're playing...Bray will likely meet Manning on this trip...he'll definitely see the Vol walk...

And then...if he doesn't commit on the spot...he'll go home and compare that experience to SDSU ...

It's impossible to predict what a 17 year old is going to do...but I don't think it's foolish for Vol fans to be extremely confident about landing Bray after this weekend

A 17 year old having a chance to have a private meeting with Peyton Manning...Now tell me that isn't a special moment in a young QB's life...He'll be singing rockytop on the airplane all the way back to california.

Doesnt Peyton come in every summer & work out with the team? If thats the case Bray will commit, having a chance to learn for your idol/mentor for 4 years is something many people dont get the chance to do.
