Oh ffs. If they don't need motivation, why do we cheer them on? An extra spark doesn't mean that they aren't already motivated.

I've never worn anything but orange to the games since my Dad first took me when I was 10. But, if the team asks for it, and it makes them happy, do it. With all the happiness this team has brought to me over the last few decades (yes, even the last few years), I can give a little happiness back to them.

Just buy some black with orange in it.

Go. Big. Orange.

I just don't get it.

Team requests fans to do something pretty easy = fans complain and decide they're above the "cool" thing

Just do it, pansies. This fan base is really losing its potency.

I have a brilliant plan regarding the blackout for this weekend.

It is well known that a Derek Dooley team at Tennessee can hang with anyone in the first half, but they suck out loud coming out in the 3rd quarter. It's also been noticed that South Carolina is exceptional coming out of halftime this season.

I suggest that we play in white pants/orange jerseys in the first half, and try to execute a typical Dooley gameplan. THEN, we should come out in all black in the second half Mighty Ducks-style from D2. The adrenaline boost would be enough to save us from falling into our usual 3rd quarter doldrums.

Oh please uniforms dont win you games,just because we did this two years ago and won big doesnt mean it will repeat itself,Why does fans think the color of our pants matter,or if we wear the white pants on the road we will do better,Geez it aint got nothing to do with the uniforms,We suck and have for awhile a blackout,orangeout or pinkout aint gonna change that. But some of you simpleminded fans keep believing that rubbish,You win because of good coaching and talent and right now Tennessee doesnt have either of those things, Gamecocks 28 Vols 17 and FIRE DOOLEY!

This is the most ignorant post I think I have ever read.
Who here has said that wearing black will win us the game? There's this thing call 'fun and excitement,' and instead of being so cynical, you might want to try it some day.

I just think it brings up too many bad memories of the kiffin era. It's not in our primaries. Those jerseys were pretty hideous, Kentucky is already doing it Saturday we really want to be like them? Black jerseys, no. Fans wearing all black? Sure. I'll do it for the guys. Hell I'll even wear my sexy Jesus Halloween costume to the game if they want.

If you don't acknowledge that coming out in black jerseys will get the players and fans hyped up, then you clearly weren't at the USC game two years ago. That place came unglued as soon as people saw the team come out of the tunnel.

Although i don't really care for these sorts of things if they really want it let them do it. Good luck convincing the Blue hairs to wear black. Maybe if you told them they were going to a funeral, might work.

Damn right it's good for recruiting. It shows the recruits that we are not some boring lame ass 1935 football program and they can come here and have some fun along with rebuilding a powerhouse program. :loco:
