Hope. Bray's second half performance was the best offensive football that we've played the entire year by far. It's clear that he needs to be the guy the rest of the way, and it's clear that if he plays at the level he did today, we have a legitimate shot of winning out and making a bowl game. Go Vols.

Bray is the better Qb, as far as a bowl...pipedream.

Bray is head and shoulders above Simms as far as talent and ability. He made some good decisions for a freshman today and one bonehead decision on his first throw.

That throw was also a bit playcalling. Everyone in the stadium knew that play was coming.

Agreed. I actually called it out, and I was at the other end. He bounced back well, which is something Simms really has not done after turnovers this year.

I see Ole Miss as the greatest obstacle to winning out.
On paper our defenses are neck and neck, slight edge to TN.
The question is does Bray make us a 10 point/g better offense?
And can we end all the turnovers?

And now, Volunteer football fans, as we turn to the gospel of Tennessee football, let us Bray!

Bray made some big time throws and looks like he has a good grasp of what limited offense they have given him play the kid and see what happens I dont think Simms has the ability to sweep November so whats the worse that could happen?!!

It will be tough to beat both Ole Miss and Kentucky, but the kid gives me a least a little hope. He's just raw right now. Give this kid some time in the system he'll be special.

Why all the respect for KY?
Except for the Ball coach's blunder, they'd have 6 losses just like us.
Put your best D player on Cobb and run the ball down their throats.
Same ole KY.

Maybe, but Tennessee isn't same old Tennessee. Kentucky is a better team, deal with it.

Seriously? Put our best player on Cobb (who might that be?) and run the ball down their throats (who might do that?)?

Kentucky is 1-3 on the road.
Miss State beat them last nite playing field position and running the ball.
If you want names, Jackson, Poole and Neal.

We have been worried about Bray getting hurt, I think he is stronger than Simms and harder to bring down than Simms. Simms attitude is inexcusable.

I'm not saying we can't beat them, but use a single guy on Cobb and run the ball sound ridiculous.

Simms peaked several games ago. He will not get any better. What we have seen is what we will continue to get from hi.

Bray, on the other hand, is only going to get better with time and experience.

IMO Simms really showed his immaturity w/ his post game comments. Leaders accept responsibility for poor mistakes and carry on. Instead of pitching a fit on the sidelines he should've been rallying the troops behind Bray. Bray looked impressive. I havent been this excited about a young QB since the Manning-Stewart season.

Have we doubled anybody this year?
didn't think that was in our D game plan.
Does sound ridiculous to me too, but Ky's D is last in the SEC at stopping the run.
See where i live? I have to watch them because of the wife.
On offense , yes they are better, but defensively they are the same ole KY, especially on the road.

Exactly. The announcers even called it. To me Bray has looked better when he's been given the freedom to throw the ball down field, not just "get comfortable" w/ slants and quick outs. At this point in the season I think you play for next year and beyond, and Bray is definitely the future.
