I was informed tonight that Tyler Bray, Justin Hunter, and I believe it was Devrin Young (Not incredibly sure) were out at Mulligans in Knoxville yesterday. There was a fundraiser for a boy who has a rare form of brain cancer. The three of them, a current coach, and even Johnny Majors showed up. It seems like all you hear about now regarding athletes is if they screw up. Rarely do you hear about them doing good. This was a class act by everybody involved. Mulligans is not exactly close to campus so it wasn't exactly a walk to the strip.

I know this meant the world to the little boy. His name is Peyton after all. They apparently stayed much longer than anticipated signing autographs and whatnot. It really shows a tremendous amount of class and could not be more proud to call them Vols. A lot of money was raised for this very worthy cause and they probably had a great deal to do with that. I wish I could give ya'll more details but I was unable to attend due to a class project.

Sounds like a good story. I agree that we do not hear enough about the good things that these athletes do on a daily basis. Meeting someone (kid) with such a severe illness like this really puts your priorities into perspective. The great thing is that it not only makes the kid feel good and forget about his cancer for a few hours, it can really change their attitude and humble these athletes forever.

The concerns about Tyler Bray's personality have been way overblown by Basillio and co. He's a good kid - and this was a good deed. I'm sure he wouldn't have cared if anyone heard about it.

Glad to see Bray doing something very unselfish. Hopefully he continues to mature in all facets of his life, and I think he will.

Always good to hear the nice things our athletes do and not just the screw ups. To me this shows that these two are VFL and care about the community

Hate to make a joke on an inspiring thread like this, but I wonder if Devrin Young is allowed on all of the rides at Dollywood. That is a little dude.

Great to hear. At least Bray understands the magnitude of being the starting quarterback for the University of Tennessee. Kudos to them. One of the great things about college football is that you sometimes have the opportunity to watch boys grow into men. With some of the things we're hearing about Bray, it seems that he is transforming before our eyes. Much better to hear about this kind of thing than his social life. Justin Hunter just seems like a really good guy and there doesn't seem to be anything bad to be said about his character.

I have great faith in Bray's future prospects as the quarterback for this football team.

And prayers to Peyton!
