Brandon Warren

Those 4 and one of the incoming guys will be the primary targets. The Rogers brothers will get reps if anybody goes down. I think Austin can be a good receiver if given the chance. It is all about getting a feel between QB and receiver to be successful and that never had a chance to develop last year with the constant shuffle.

He looked quick off the ball, and made some nice catches. Looks to have the ability of a WR, with the mindset of a TE.

If he stays on track he will be a big factor, this fall.

the staff didn't know how to use anyone on offense last year not just Warren..... gotta put guys in position to succeed which is why I am very excited at what I saw from the WRs in the game. Why Moore was not thrown more slants last year is beyond me..expect that to change.

I got a close-up look at Brandon Saturday, and I was left with these impressions:
  • He is huge, tall, and he has a demeanor about him that is all business.
  • He is very aggressive off the line of scrimmage.
  • He hits his pivots with power (on routes).
I pity any corner back that tries to cover him man to man (I really think that opponents will have to commit two defenders to jam him off the line). I really expect that this will be his break-out year.

Anyone know his true size and speed!
6'5? 4.28 40?????
Lol

I'd say around a 4.50-4.59 40 would be a good guess, at least for right now. Dunno what his current weight is though. Jared Cook posted a 4.50 40 at the combine, and Shawn Nelson posted a 4.56 40. Cook weighs 246 lbs, and Nelson weighs 240 - both players are 6'5.

They were also the fastest TE's at the combine, and taller than Warren is.

.... or shed him as a blocker. I think BW will open up some big plays for others with his downfield blocking along with his own big play potential.

And the dude is big isn't he? I saw him in the vol walk video... dayummmm

One of the keys to the WR position in Kiffin's system is that they are able to block and get physical. Warren is a great fit for that role with his TE background.

There is not a receiver that has ever lived that would have been "great" at UT last year. The QB position simply would not have allowed it.

The truth hurts, we have no real idea what we do, or do not have at this position.

i dont have enough posts to start a new thread, but figured this would be a sufficient place. BW was not in math class today, and the teacher stated that she received an email that brandon was in a car accident with an 18 wheeler, but he should be okay. does anyone have anymore info? i sure hope he is doing alright.
