Slive is being paid to make decisions. To say that he has punted to the NCAA is an omission of duty. UT needs to bring this up in conference meetings. But considering the source I can understand his passiveness.

The entire thread is related to Brandon Warren. People stray off topic a bit sometimes. It's called a message board. Welcome. People debate sports here. That is what is interesting, not the exchange of one question and one answer per thread.

Thanks for the complete smart butt response. I did not expect one question with one answer...thank you. I have used message boards plenty of times...but once again, thanks for your great insight of how they work.

And just in case you missed it....I did not anwer your question on where I went to high school. So, you ask a 2nd time......

This whole mess reminds me of the old Waylon Jennings song, "This is getting funny but there ain't nobody laughing." Unfortunately it is the young man left dangling over the bureacratic fire pit...not funny at all. My guess is this has impacted his entire family with his mother feeling culpable to a degree.

I don't have the solution to such situations, but surely in this day and age we can move past a dinosaurs pace in getting a response.

Hamer....I did not go to Maryville High School. I have however, lived in Maryville all my life...I am in the county.

I went to Alcoa but my cousins went to Heritage. The Mountaineers were much better at football when I was in school than when you were. Hell they beat us once or twice I think.

The reason its out of Slime's hands is because UT took it out of his hands. UT got tired of waiting for the loser and took everything to the NCAA through a different avenue which if UT wins then the SEC has ZERO say in the matter and Warren will play whether Slime or Foley likes it.

Do you know for sure UT took it out of Slives hands, or is this just an assumption? Have you heard or read something?

This morning....the Sports Animal claimed it is still up to Slive. That said since the TV contract negotiating is over...that maybe he can make a ruling.

The Animal is clueless....Fact is Slime is out of the picture. He never had any intention of deciding.

Speaking of television negotiations...any news on SEC Cahnnel becoming a reality.

Remember fellas I am in Indiana, don't get much VOL news up here except for Pearl.

SEC has passed on making a ruling. documentation has all went to the NCAA for their ruling (which they always had to at a minimum rubber stamp SEC ruling). I expect a ruling at anytime to be favorable for UT from NCAA

So how did the SEC indicate that it was going to "pass," just by letting it sit in an inbox and collect dust? Just ignore the problem until it goes away?

I hope you guys are correct. Where are you getting your information?

If it is up to the NCAA, I would say he will win and we should know very soon.

I have also heard that the NCAA were all but ready to make a decision in his favor and just bypass the SEC and Slive. Apparently they were also tired of waiting and wanted to move on to other things. I heard this on the Sportsmonster about a week ago, but didn't put much stock in it.

I'm not buying that for a second. The NCAA hasn't been in a hurry to make a ruling on anything...
