Brandon Warren Is Back?

He was a cancer. Not against giving second chances, but he had some of the worst work ethic on the team. Let him get a second chance at a DII school or something. Bad work ethic is a repeated deal.

I am new here so please forgive, how to you get to TOS.

Take a left on No Reasonable People Need Apply Street and follow that until you see the signs for Interstate VQ. Pay the $9.95 toll and off you go! JK. I'll send you a direct message about it because some people on here get quite angry when you ask anything TOS related. They were born with that info already pre-programmed in their brains. That's why they are better than the rest of us.

Back to the original subject. If DD and staff believe Warren will help the team, bring him back. He is a talented player. If they don't believe he can help, see ya!!! Chaney has a pretty good idea of what he can or will do.

One of the things that really makes me uneasy about Dooley is a comment he supposedly made in Memphis. Reportedly he said that he believed in giving 2nd and 3rd chances... sounded way too much like the philosophy that got Fulmer canned and landed the program where it is.

There was never any doubt that he had talent... see his first year at FSU. I don't want him back b/c he was a cancer in regard to attitude and work ethic. Say whatever you want about Kiffin, but that staff demanded the best out of their players ... Warren couldn't hack it.

Well, sometimes I do think a kid can make a dumb decision that was a one time deal. I do think that it should be a case by case basis. But, Warren had terrible work ethic which is a decision that he made every day. I don't have much sympathy for that, and you're right, that's a scary comment by Dooley.

Everyone deserves a second chance. I don't know about a third. The relative probable success of anyone diminishes greatly after they screw up their second chance. Know what I mean?

I think it depends on the offense in regard to getting a second chance. To me, poor to no work ethic is pretty serious. Like I said, Warren held the team up last year before he was kicked off the team. His attitude spread to some of the other players. He can go get a second chance at Carson-Newman.

I would give him a second or third chance as a walk on. In my eyes as taxpayer from Tennessee, he should walk on a show that he deserves to play football for UT and that he really want to be there before we start paying for school. AGAIN!

Rumors are flowing on TOS that he is being reinstated. He has an uncle that posts over there regularly and has for 2 years. He is saying that its a done deal.

This gives him the chance to attempt the rare Trifecta - being a monster disappointment under 3 different head coaches.

I know I didn't make it very clearly, but my point is that he's already had his second chance. Time for him to move on.

Somebody please tell me when UT has had any recent success with a player being given multiple second chances? Vinson, no. Morley, no. Coker, no. Warren may be an exception but I doubt it.

I wish I had the future telling abilities of Hat. Instead of giving Dooley and his staff a fair chance to at LEAST coach spring ball....they are already the worst possible scenario. I have no idea if CDD will succeed or fail....NOONE does yet, no matter how egotistical or self centered they are. Dooley is much more "proven" than our last HC, and he didnt need a package deal with his Dad to get his first college HC job. If he does happen to succeed, I hope this thread and Hat's comments get brought back up. Should be entertaining.

I hope Dooley doesn't lose the disciplinary edge that Kiffin had brought to the program. I really liked what Kiffin did in that regard.

I think it will be as good or better. From what I've heard others say about him, including his mom, he does not put up with much. :salute:

How is he much more proven? And, true, he didn't need a package deal, but he did need 4-5 other coaches to say "not interested" before he got the gig. The timing of the whole deal was the biggest reason he was hired.

Btw, I hope he succeeds. This isn't a knock on him as a coach.
