Brandon Kennedy had knee surgery, doubtful for bowl game

I think there’s a good chance that after Alabama and 2 years at TN that Brandon may just be ready to hang up the cleats and call it a career instead of fighting for a 6th year of eligibility. I could be wrong but would be hard to blame the kid for wanting to move on.

I'm not gonna get all condescending and act like I know what's gonna happen, like you just did, but I don't think we can. If we get them, I'm gonna pray the night before and hope with everything I got that we pull it off, because that would be awesomeness!!

I dont think we can without more consistent passing game

Bad news just hoping for a win in a bowl. Has anything been said about his 6th year eligibility yet?

If he had transferred to Ohio State he would be preparing for his 8th year of eligibility, which would have been granted before he completed the paperwork.

They are 10-2 with wins over UM and Iowa. Their only losses were to Minnesota and OSU.
I don't think we get PSU, but if we do, I hope and pray we wipe the field with them, but if we don't....watch the chest beaters. No one will be immune from their wrath. No. One.

Entering the portal doesn't mean you can't still play, it just allows other teams to contact you, from what I understand. Could be wrong though
Yeah technically that is right, but if a player enters the portal they usually are no longer with team, not always I have seen a couple of exceptions but that's usually how it is

If he can get that 6th year, and it sounds to me like they are very confident he will, this is the right move...get it cleaned up now and out ahead of it so hes full strength for next year. Not to say he couldn't wait until after the bowl game and get same results, but never can be cautious enough with knees.

Penn State would not be a top tier team in the SEC, and we could definitely play with them and possibly win.

I think its funny when people say things like that. They wouldn't be this year, last year, typically etc? Who is top tier in the SEC? Historically, right now? What tier are we? Right now? Is Vandy top tier? What tier were they when James Franklin was the coach?

And, last year KY beat them in a bowl. That was last year. Wtf does that have to do with them and us this year?

SEC magic and great to be a tn vol.
We'd beat PSU for dinner and OSU for dessert.

This year, Alabubba, LSU, Auburn, and Georgia would whip PSU. This year Tennessee is a middle of the road SEC team and as would be PSU if they were in this conference.
