Looks like Hoke knows he has some big shoes to fill with the DL departures.

I like that Well's said about his lines being physical. I hope that he can develop them into a excellent hard noses offensive line.

I think Beard will translate well to the WR's. Hopefully, he will be able coach them up and we see a great group of WR's that can do it all.

Butch has at least done one thing each year and that is evaluate staff. This is his best staff from coaches to Strength Training. Energy from Wells and Beard will be contagious to players. well received on recruiting trail.

I like beard, I like Wells....

Hoke is gonna have to earn his money. I'm not convinced.

You got one job Hoke. Negate alabama's O line. That's your job, and you haven't done an outstanding job of that in the past. IN fact you got ROLLED.

This is super arbitrary.

I'm thinking he played them twice... maybe I'm right or maybe I'm wrong about that fact, but I can tell you what I'm NOT wrong about. He got ROLLED.

I know the bolded line is likely tongue in cheek, but no coach should be hired or work for one game. Hoke's one job is to coach the line to dominate all year. Oh, and recruit. So that's what...two jobs?

You mean like shoop had one job? To beat floriduh. There is really ONE job at UT. Beat salami. If you can't do that after an extended amount of time you're gone. That is your job.

You may be good with going 1 and 11, but no one else is. As to your mispelling of rivals names it comes off as childish. That being said I get the "floriduh" thing, but "salami"? Where are you getting that? It is nowhere near the spelling of what I assume is supposed to be Alabama, and besides that, salami sausage is delicious. How could you use that as a negative?

I was there and I was impressed with all 3 coaches, especially Beard. He's got a good attitude and passion for the game. I got to see Wells on the practice field every week during the season and the players seemed to love him. Hoke was kind of uninteresting probably just because he's pretty monotone and hoarse, but I think he's going to do a great job. Overall, I feel good about all three.

Looked like Hoke lost weight too. I guess it is good he was hoarse, because that means he is already getting after them!

Hoke was the D line coach on the 97 National title team. He's good and is a known recruiter.

I liked what I heard from Wells and Beard. The players seem to like Warren from what's been said.

I'll say this for Butch. He's been more than wiling the past couple of years to make staff changes where necessary. Here's hoping that leads to us starting to win titles.

Minus Beard. The offense is underwhelming. Beard might relate to the players, but I rather have someone who can produce results. We shall see

The Vols offense is underwhelming? Not sure where you got that from...they are very productive....and with a new QB, WRs and RBs and a seasond OL they should be potent.

Relating to players is how you get results. Relating causes them to buy in because they know the coach is pouring into them and they will thus be motivated to perform and meet the standards set for them.
