Brady Hoke DL Coach? (RUMOR)

Can't imagine him staying here long as a DL coach....He's been stepping backwards since Michigan. Hopefully he brings something more to the table here. I never saw Stripling as a problem?

Yipe! From the same article:

"Though Hoke didn't inherit much to begin with, the defense nevertheless finished 126th nationally in points allowed per game -- two away from being the worst in the Football Bowl Subdivision."

Hoke faced some of the same injuries to the defense this season as we did. The DL was decimated and with no push, you'll give it up as we did. Thats why he was fired.

I think it's a solid hire that will do nothing but I prove our team. As it stands we will rely on the D for the first part of the season (likely) until our offense finds its grove with a new signal caller. D line has big shoes to fill, and Hoke will be instrumental in making sure we don't have a falloff at that position.

Not sure our D is good enough to rely on them to carry us early on. Hopefully it's a good blend of both sides doing their job.
