I am not and will not claim to be an insider, but I have heard from a fairly reliable source that this is a real possibility and discussions are happening. I don't expect to hear much officially until after the bowl game, but he would certainly be a welcomed addition to this defensive staff.

He recruited well at Michigan, especially on the defensive side of the ball. Didn't leave the cupboard bare for Harbough.

If he came in and changed his reputation as everybody knows him and worked hard he could bring the defensive side of the ball around! :)

aslong as Shoop signs off on it. There needs to be some chemistry on that side of the ball.

Is there any new information? This was mentioned a week ago by 247

It's funny how it takes a huge failure for some guys to realize they aren't cut out to be a head coach. Look at Kiffen doing it again. He will fail there too.

Speaking of Kiffen.
This may have already been discussed on here, if so I missed it.
Some friends of mine in North Ala. told me earlier that Kif would not coach Bama's offense in the playoffs, was not going to happen. Must really have gotten bad between Sab and Kif.

Well every UT writer (Brice, Fort, Hubbs) has mentioned talks with Hoke. Just wondering if there was anything really new here. Doesn't seem to be

Other than it being mentioned as a "done deal" I'm really not sure. It's possible that there isn't any new information.

They lied to you. On top of that, there isn't any bad blood between Kiffin and Saban.

I'd rather not say.

Your op just said it was a possibility and there are talks (which we've known for a week and if those guys are reporting it then UT is fine with it getting out). Are you now claiming it is a done deal?

Kiffin cast a smidge of shade at Saban during his FAU PC. Alluding to Saban taking ALL the credit for Bama's success...and it's KIFFIN! Course it got bad!
