Braden Gall reports we have 12 out of 14 level of talent

I'd agree with that assessment. Actually just last night I was thinking Vandy is the only team in the SEC with a worse roster, but I'd forgotten how bad South Carolina is.

In the SEC. Only South Carolina and Vanderbilt w worse roster spots.
have you heard his show.......he is like a poor mans Harry Caray. He analysis of college football is about as equal as the average caller on the Paul Finebaum show. dude is a complete joke and has more expertise in the field of drinking and getting paid to fill time during rush hour

AL/A&M/UGA/LSU/UF- After that its pretty much a toss up on who has more talent. Now if you were talking about Depth then maybe. Definitely some spots that UT is very thin at. DL/LB are two ugly spots.

You sort of left out the whole generational talent at QB that transferred there and was underutilized until the 2019 season, as being nothing like what we have on our roster either.

Did you know that Joe Burrow was a generational talent prior to the 19' season?

And that's relevant how? Knowing it beforehand or not, does not change the fact that he was a generational talent for LSU at QB.

He had more passing TDs in his final season than Jamarcus Russel and Matt Mauck's final seasons combined, and those two are the only QBs worth mentioning at LSU in the last 20+ years since Herb Tyler played for them.

I wasn't implying that we have a Joe Burrow on our team going into the season. My point was that things can change very quickly when coaches get the right players in the right scheme. We know what our qbs did before this season, but we don't know that they won't explode into a prolific offense if things come together. I'm saying that all the doomsayers and expert analysts out there saying to expect a rough season don't know ****. Any more than the perpetually high loonies saying we're going to sneak up on Florida and Alabama every year. Nobody knows what this team is going to do with the fans in the stands.

I agree. Just the attitude and culture on the team should make a world of difference across the board. From workouts to practice to the games, the kids and staff will be more committed. Like you, I'm not calling for a 9 win season, but there's no way in hell we can possibly be as poorly coached as we were last year. A 7 win season would be tremendous. I expect 6 wins simply because of our depth at some positions.

I mean, you never really know what to expect anyway, but what if Milton has a Heisman type year and our D is good enough to keep games close? This could be the biggest surprise season ever!

Sunshine pumping! Go Vols! Getting hyped!

Isn't it time for someone to post the annual "is it just me or is anyone having hard time getting up for the season?" thread....

He's correct. We had 40 transfers and quitters this off season. Stop expecting unrealistic things this season
