Bracketmatrix 2021-22

We’re 5-6 in Q1 games. Vandy is just hanging out at 76. They need to move up one more spot to be a Q1 win for us.

Arkansas moved up to 30th, so as of now that’s another Q1 win opportunity (at home). We have 3 Q1 games left and so give ourself a good chance at finishing with a 500 or better record in Q1 games which seems significant. I’ve heard the committee in the past use that as a measuring stick, since the tourney is mostly Q1 matchups outside of the 1 round.
Any other opponents on the q1 bubble?

Really need Texas Tech to lose tonight. Would love it if purdue lost too

Somehow Northwestern would be a Quad 1 win for Purdue. So if they lose, these AP pollsters will think “eh it’s not that bad, just a quad 1 loss” and drop them 1 spot.

Give me this bracket. Thanks.

Gotta beat Wagner and Marquette to make the Sweet 16? Yes, please.

Gotta beat frequent NCAAT choker Kansas to make the Elite 8? Then an Arizona team we’ve already beaten to make the Final 4? Not saying it’s a layup by any stretch, but that’s about as good as we could ask for.

In the Athletic power rankings, Eamonn Brennan (hope I spelled that correctly) had the Vols ranked 7th. He had some nice things to say about the team, too.

Pretending we get a 3 seed, wouldn’t you say we want Duke, Purdue, or Texas Tech as our 2 seed? I want either Auburn or Kansas as the 1 seed, definitely not Gonzaga or Arizona again (I know we won, but home court and officials helped significantly)

We won't be in Auburn's region because they don't bracket 2 teams from the same conference in the top 4 seed lines of a region.
