I just have to laugh at band wagon people.

My son played football with a die hard Gator fan who had a huge Gator logo that covered most of the back window of his truck.

Now you can see the residue of that ugly old Gator logo where he tried to scrape it off, LOL!

In place of that is now a big, new Big Orange power T logo.

I just have to laugh at that image because it looks like Tennessee is walking all over that ugly Gator.

The band wagon people will return but there's nothing like the 100% totally loyal die hard Vols fans!

We all bleed Tennessee Orange, always have, always will no matter what the record is at the end of any season.

It's ALWAYS great to be a Tennessee fan!!!

#RiseToTheTop...VFL...GBO!!!

Can't stand the bandwagon jumpers! Especially bummers! Talked to a "die hard" Bama fan last week. Everything Crimson...Bama this, Bama that...lives there. Healthy, has the money..Hasn't been to Tuscalooser to a game since 1976.
TYPICAL!!

Live in LA(lower "freaking" Alabama), not by choice... Have seen several more Power "T" on cars this year. More VOLS fans down here, than you expect. Don't think they are bandwagon fans, just decided to brand their true faith in public now. GBO

Do I need to spell it out for you?

It's no longer acceptable to use the word "gay" in a derogatory way.

It doesn't bother me, personally, but it does when a Vol fan says it on a Vol forum. I don't want to be associated with it. It's trashy. Alabama is trashy. Alabama's fanbase is trashy. I don't want Tennessee's fanbase to be considered trashy. I don't want to be similar to Alabama in any way possible. Leave the redneck mentality to the ones in Bryant-Denny. When you're posting on a Tennessee website, show some class.

you totally swung and missed on his reply

Still too many damn A's around the Dickson/Hickman County area.

I'm in this same area. Didn't expect anyone to be posting from this area. Especially since we are of the few that actually have internet way out here. :)

If you are only counting the fans that can read and write, the Vol vs bama population out here is probably pretty good. My brothers and I make up a total of 4 Vols, so that's probably about 40% of that population right there.

In the Nashville area I've noticed a huge difference in the amount of orange I've seen walking around. In the Dooley era you would only see the older fans still sporting orange. Now, it seems to be all over. It's good but annoying as well. I always wear my orange during the season, especially when we lose. That's when you see who the real fans are.

I don't care for bandwagon fans... but it is what it is... 10 years ago, you wouldn't see any crimson... but now, they're everywhere.. this Crimson problem will never go away... it'll come and go, just like it's done forever.

The season is almost here y'all! It seems like the Tennessee Vols are the trendy "dark horse" pick for analysts around the country. With the hype and sure-to-follow success, I predict a lot fewer crimson "A's" (yuck) and a lot more Orange "T's" (that's more like it) on vehicles here in South Tennessee and beyond.

How do you guys feel about this? Are you happy to see the abundance of UT representation, knowing good and well many of the people donning it were sporting crimson a year or two ago?

Or would you rather see less Orange but have the security of knowing those sporting it are true to TN like you?

Personally, I'd prefer to have the Bandwagoneers. They make my area more beautiful and are certainly helping with my local pollution problem (crimson). That said, I'll only have a brew with one if he buys. (Sucker.)

Anyways, I SAID IT'S GREAT......TO BE.....A TENNESSEE VOLLLLL....!!!!!!

We have a few of those as well. But I think overall, Bammers are Bammers. I don't think they really switch allegiance, I just think they represent more when the team does well, not so much when they don't. And the ones who switch back-and-forth aren't really fans anyway and couldn't find Bama, UT, or UGA on a map.

Now I will say Metropolitan Nashville and even Fort Campbell brings in alot of ppl from the state of alabama.

Screw a bandwagonning ass hat!!! They are the scourge of sports, IMO. Too afraid that they can't handle a "bad" year or two and have to take some ****.... so, just proclaim to be a fan of the frontrunner every year.

Weak *******!

3 "Gators"?

Can we please stop using the term? It's possibly offensive to some. Even if it's not, it's a 2nd-grade level diss and makes us look ignorant and childish.

I agree that term is childish and wouldn't use it myself for that reason alone. But choosing not to use words just because some over-sensitive (childish) whiner might be "offended" is a terrible trend.

If you want to be dictated to by PC overlords who let you know what is and what isn't acceptable to say and think be my guest. I would rather Tennessee's fanbase be considered "trashy" than be Politically Correct sheep who walk on eggshells so as to not offend those who live to be offended.

** Had to proofread my post and make sure I did not use "he" anywhere. As the librarian at UT instructed: only use "gender neutral" language. Wouldn't want to offend.

As a engineer in the solid waste management industry, I personally find it highly offensive that you would use the word "trashy" when talking about Alabama fans. I hope the PC police will issue a ticket for your disrespectful and highly offensive language.

This 100% it's pretty comical and sad to see. Look at the NBA for example, now there are Cavs fans everywhere, I wanna see someone in a Craig Ehlo throwback. where are the Heat and Lakers fans. Living out west I've started to see tons of Golden State fans walking around, same goes for Clippers fans. People are going to be front runners but it's getting to a point where it's becoming pathetic.

I am not a fan of being "politically correct" type of anything. There are times where tact needs to be used and other times things need to be told like it is.

Back to the subject at hand. Bandwagon fans aren't real fans of any teams and I don't really care for them. I know when I moved to Chattanooga in 1998 the Power T was everywhere. Bama started to win again I have seen more Bama stuff everywhere. I would imagine that when UT starts winning again it will flip flop. I do see multiple fan bases being represented in Chattanooga though from UT, UA, AU, FL, UGA, MS State, FSU, Duke, and VT.

My goto to see if someone is a bandwagon Bama fan is to ask how many games Coach Mike Price won at Bama.

I don't care for bands nor do I like wagons. So any band on a wagon is irrelevant. If W's though produce Bandwagons, I can deal with that because the alternative sucks.

Piss on them... If they can't have enough pride to wear the orange during the last days of Fulmer,Kiffin and the worst stretch when Doofus was here, then don't come around when CBJ is kicking ass... I loathe people like that, pick a team, buy those colors, put the sticker on your SUV, and be done. Don't be the kind that has to go to buy heat guns to get the stickers off every other year
