It looks like it has been removed, but I received the push notification that Kamara plans to declare for the draft this year. Anyone else know anything?

I expect him to. Why return and rush injury? He will get drafted no later than round 3-4 imo.

I heard he may come back because the coaching staff has said they will increase his carries from 5 a game to 8 a game

Expected to enter the draft and declaring for the draft are too different things. Hope he stays, but we'll find out at the end of the season.

Yeah he needs to go. JRM and Sutton are prime examples of people who made the decision to put the team first, which I love, but will have a huge impact on their draft stock. Sutton and JRM will still get drafted, but I will be surprised if it is in the first 2-3 rounds now.

Go get the money Alvin.

did anyone really expect him back next year? i would say making that announcement now would be a little untimely, considering all the hoopla surrounding the program right now...but in the end, he is still likely going to be gone to the draft anyway.

I expected this and wish him he best. Remember the point of college is to get a good job. Hell even if he only lasts one year he will make more than I make in ten years lol.

Word from inside the program is the coaching staff promised him if he stayed one more year we would line up in the I-formation for him a lot more in 2017.

Oddly enough, he didn't believe them.

I bet if he did come back, Butch Jones would change up the scheme to work around his running style :pilot:

^ and ChattVol beat me to the punch...

Sutton is a first rounder.

JRM as good as he is for us, was never a first day guy. He is a late. 5th before the shoulder injury this year, it's why he came back if you ask me. Now he is probably a 6-7 round guy if he's lucky and has a good combine.

Barnett is a top 10, even though you didn't mention them, he should leave also. Hate it, but it's what's best for him.

No way Sutton goes in first round. Sorry.

Don't think Sutton is a first rounder. Barnett is the only one IMO.

Kamara will need to review where he will be potentially drafted by the advisory committee. There are a ton of high quality RB's this year, but he sure is a talented back.

He will apply for a draft grade for sure.

This is a full year for RBs, he may go lower than he should. I hope he does well whatever he decides.

It said he plans to enter the draft after the season, he will still play. I'm not even sure why that was newsworthy.

Good for him! Hope he balls out the rest of the season and helps his draft stock.

My prediction is that somebody will get him for a later round steal if he goes this year. So, he might weigh his option of returning as the feature back at UT and upping his income potential significantly. RBs don't get 15-20 years in the league, so they to get paid while they're young!

He hasn't been used much in college. Has plenty of tread life left for Sundays.

I agree with your point, but Sutton still has a chance and recover his draft stock.

The only way I see him not returning is if he thinks he can come back, have a monster senior season, and improve his draft stock. However with the injury he just sustained I wouldn't be surprised if he decided not to take the risk.
