Single shot and a revolver, eh!!???
Luther Luther Luther. Ol' Son. You are so (this is truth, don't take it otherwise) ignorant of firearms and how they are used yet carry on this way. It's really rather pitiful. If it wasn't so entertaining you probably wouldn't have anyone to talk to.
By the way. Feral pigs often run in big packs. Texas has an eradication program using poisons and of course hunting.
per Smithsonian Magazine:
..."Wild hogs are among the most destructive invasive species in the United States today. Two million to six million of the animals are wreaking havoc in at least 39 states and four Canadian provinces; half are in Texas, where they do some $400 million in damages annually..."
If killing dangerous hogs bothers you protect yer precious eyes and don't watch.

Orangedogsrule, orangedogsrule, orangedogsrule, I don't know how to put this gently but, if I am half as ignorant as you are and as consistently off point, then I truly owe everyone a sincere apology.
I was responding to a post about fighting off ONE wild boar. I was responding to a post about taking a rifle and pistol both for fending off wild hogs. They said "one shot from the rifle and shots 2 thru 7 from the pistol".
I was RESPONDING to other posts.
You guys are so quick to jump to conclusions you believe are going to be true that you never truly see what actually is.
Your over zealousness to pin something on me is causing you to look foolish. But take comfort in the fact that you are in no way the only one exhibiting such eagerness.
This wouldve been much easier...I have a question for those that want to talk about the Founding Father's intent on the whole "weapons of war" issue and "assault rifles." Now, you have those that like to claim: "well, they never envisioned what weapons would be available today." Yet, In Washington's first annual message to Congress...
Anyone care to chime in on the fact Washington specifically mentions "military supplies" in the same sentence (paragraph) as a free and armed people?
Or how about James Madison?
Interesting he separates the two. "Right of the people" and "well regulated militia." But goes on to describe the militia as the "body of the people, trained to arms." Of course the militia in those days was used in everything from protecting settlements against hostile native tribes to large scale warfare. Regardless, he obviously felt the "body of the people" would constitute the militia. And on that militia talk, Vice President Elbridge Gerry:
Being that the militia is, in the words of the Founding Fathers, the body of the people, wouldn't disarming them give the truth to his words?
However, let's clear that up with a quote from Richard Henry Lee:
That's pretty clear cut. Not a Founding Father, but one of the early Presidents Andrew Jackson had this to say:
Interesting. Now one final quote on the whole militia thing. From the debates over the Militia Act of 1792:
And yet, there are some that will argue the militia is actually the National Guard?
Let's bounce back to Thomas Jefferson:
Which actually was a quote taken from another author, but included in his Legal Commonplace Book. Basically, the Founding Fathers are saying taking away the right to protect oneself gives encouragement to those who would commit harm. Hmmm...haven't heard that one before.
Tell me again how the Founding Fathers would have wanted gun control...
I'll leave you with Patrick Henry:
Superstore chain Fred Meyer to stop selling guns, ammunition - ABC News
Superstore company Fred Meyer will stop selling guns and ammunition.
The Portland, Oregon,-based chain in a statement Friday said it made the decision after evaluating customer preferences. The company sells guns at nearly 45 of its 132 stores in Oregon, Washington, Idaho and Alaska.
"Fred Meyer has made a business decision to exit the firearms category," the company said. "We are currently working on plans to responsibly phase out sales of firearms and ammunition."
The company, a subsidiary of Cincinnati, Ohio,-based Kroger Co., didn't give a timeline in the statement. Fred Meyer spokesman Jeffery Temple in an email to The Associated Press on Saturday said the company wasn't offering interviews.
Fred Meyer stores sell a range of goods that include groceries, clothing, electronics, outdoor equipment, furniture and jewelry. Stores also include pharmacies.
The company said the firearms category represents about $7 million annually of its revenue and sales have been declining.

Maybe the boycott and student walkouts and marches are turning the tide.
Gosh, let's hope they disarm all of us. Then, Trump, who is the reincarnation of Hitler, will swoop in and put all liberals in the ovens. As much as we would like to protect you guys, we won't be able to. Sorry.Poll: More view NRA negatively than positively for first time since before 2000 | TheHill

Nothing wrong with them. Just saying that's a large portion of the NRA demographic. As they die off, there aren't as many lining up to replace them. And that will probably continue if the NRA continues to offer up hardline positions.
The biggest drops for the NRA came from white married women (50 percent positive in April 2017, 35 percent now), urban residents (43 percent positive in April, 28 percent now), white women (47 percent positive in April, 33 percent now) and moderate/soft Republicans (72 percent positive in April, 60 percent now).

Think link has a breakdown of the shift in support of various demographics. The shift appears to be across the board.
