That has to be one of the funniest things I've heard. The FBI had weekly meetings with social media companies. Zuckerberg himself admitted he was pressured to silence conservative influence. It's documented.I'll answer for you then: NO. The Federal Government under Biden had NOTHING to do with Trump getting booted off Twitter.
The White House responded at the time in a statement saying: “When confronted with a deadly pandemic, this Administration encouraged responsible actions to protect public health and safety. Our position has been clear and consistent: we believe tech companies and other private actors should take into account the effects their actions have on the American people, while making independent choices about the information they present.”

Zuckerberg says the White House pressured Facebook to 'censor' some COVID-19 content during the pandemic
Zuckerberg alleges that the officials, including those from the White House, "repeatedly pressured" Facebook for months to take down "certain COVID-19 content including humor and satire."www.pbs.org
Yes.I linked a timeline as well.
Carr did the podcast 1st. Threatened ABC. Then Sinclair reacted.
Confused?
The Biden's FBI went to the Google, Meta, Twitter, etc. And told them to suppress the Biden laptop story. Told them it was Russian propaganda. They all obliged as did the MSM. What's worse is they trotted out dozens of intelligence officials to verify it was Russian disinformation. Now we know it was all a lie. This is what Monty and his democrats are good with. At the same time, they fall on the sword for a washed up comedian that's also a POS human being.Maybe not directly. But they did 100 other things to suppress speech.
So help me understand your premise here. Are you suggesting that Sinclair had already publicly made the decision to suspend showing the Jimmy Kimmel show prior to Carr coming out and threatening ABC?Yes.
Sinclair discussed the situation prior to Carr's podcast. Supported by hog's link a couple days ago. And I think, fuzzy on it tbh, it was referenced in the Variety article I linked this am.
Yours is a timeline of decision. Mine is a timeline of discussion from where decisions arose.
Where am I inaccurate?
Not saying that at all. Kudos for asking a question to clarify. I appreciate it. Not everyone takes that approach. So help me understand your premise here. If yes, provide me a link, please
Mkay.
Links?
Right. Not saying that at all. Kudos for asking a question to clarify. I appreciate it. Not everyone takes that approach.
I am saying the discussion preceding the public decision were taking place before Carr's podcast.
Here is the pertinent section from the Variety article I linked earlier:
Nexstar, said it intended to pre-empt airings of the program following remarks the host made in relation to Trump and the slaying of conservative activist Charlie Kirk. Sinclair, another large station owner, said it too was taking Kimmel off of its stations.
If it didn't "speak volumes" you wouldn't have the interpretation you chose.Right.
Well I’m sure quite a few ABC affiliates received phone calls from angry MAGA fans after the broadcast. Kimmel's monologue was provocative and anti-Trump. This could have caused Sinclair execs to discuss how to handle the situation.
But Carr’s subsequent threat made Sinclair decision simple: If they didn’t punish Kimmel, they could lose their TV license, etc.
So I get your point about the process, but ultimately the action taken speaks volumes. And that action was taken *after* Carr threatened ABC.

Your interpretation has no impact on me. So no harm no foul in my book.
I believe you are seeing what you want despite statements from those involved to the contrary. I believe your judgment is clouded by hate.
Perhaps the trial yall have predicted will expose all we see differently and bring agreement sometime in the future.

Didn't the quote say they'd already made the decision in those conversations?Right.
