Ole miss will come to Memphis... Location... Vandy or UT to MCB.. Unless ole miss pulls an upset and goes 7-5.

They had Scott Ramsey (MCB rep) on 104.5 last week, and he sounded as if they would have a very high interest in Ole Miss if Ole Miss got 6 wins. He seemed more excited for an opportunity at Ole Miss than either Vandy or TN.

Does it really even matter? I mean if we even are lucky enough to get bowl eligible, its gonna be a fifth or sixth tier worthless bowl against a nobody. Aside from getting some extra practice time, there is no benefit to even playing a game like that. It's more embarrassing to the program than anything really.

I understand your point, but I'd still prefer a low tier or mid tier bowl over no bowl. As frustrated as I get with the games, I still look forward to watching the TN games. A bowl game would extend the ability to look forward to watching TN play football in 2012.

This, Win or loss I love watching the Orange and White play. Love seeing that big orange "T" on the side of the helmet:loco::rock::pepper::yahoo:

I've looked at the remaining schedules of all the SEC teams. If the Vols finish 7-5, there is a good chance they would be in the Gator Bowl.

It'd take some help and Texas a&m would have to fall hard...they're likely not going to opt for a 7-5 UT team over an 8 win A&M, Miss St, or whoever

Looking at A&M's schedule, I think their final stretch is gonna be similar to Missouri's first half.

I was thinking about this last night...to me it looks like Virginia Tech is going to finish 7-5 as well so maybe we could get our revenge against them in the Music City Bowl?

7-5 is very hopeful. I hope we do get a bowl for everyone's sake especially the players, they have worked hard and deserve that experience. GBO

I think it is significantly less embarrassing to be in the Liberty Bowl, than to not even be INVITED to the liberty bowl.

a bowl is a bowl, all you people whining about it being worthless are clueless. it will be a positive for the program and extra practice time and a chance to get another win, and send the senior's out right with a W. something tennessee hasn't done in 5 years. take the positives and move on. GO VOLS!!!

I hope it's the Music City Bowl. It's the only one I could reasonably travel to. I think New Year's in nashville would be incredible. Had tix to the game v UNC a couple of years ago, but had to sell em due to a bone marrow biopsy scheduled 2 days before.

Best of the available options?

I would love to see UT v. Miami/VaTech.

We could go on a 2-0 run against the ACC this year. That is improvement over the last 6 or so meetings. I'll take it, all things considered.

I know there is still a lot of football left. Depending on how our team looks against troy saturday, I think we will win out. The only game that scares me is vandy just because of how last year went. But like I said if we show up against troy like we did against Akron, the next three games could be painful

7-5 or 6-6

does anyone know who we might play if we win 3/4 games? what bowl? favorable match ups? I think once we see an out of conference foe our guys will not be intimidated at all, seeing how we've played 5 top 12 teams this year.

I think some conversation not involving Gruden or a hart announcement is needed at this point.
The season has to play out, but this is a good topic. If we win out and play a good team in the bowl game and win, then a case for Dooley can be made. Especially if we improve our defense.

I do believe that we are bowl bound, 7-5 is still possible if they keep their heads - per the Experts:

CFN: Franklin American Mortgage Music CityNashville, TN LP Field
Dec. 31, 12:00 pm, ESPN
SEC No. 7 vs. ACC No. 6
Projection: Tennessee vs. *Arizona State*No ACC team projected available

ESPN:Mark Schlabach Picks:

BBVA Compass(Big East vs. SEC)
Pittsburgh vs. Tennessee

Brad Edwards Picks:

Franklin American Mortgage Music City(ACC vs. SEC)
Miami (FL) vs. Tennessee

SEC Edward Aschoff Picks:AutoZone Liberty Bowl, Dec. 31: Tennessee vs. Conf. USA Champ

(for the record, Phil Steele had Vols/ Miami in the MCB from last week's predictions; not undated for this week yet)

I wouldn't mind playing tha U. Would at least be fun to watch.
