Cal's performance may put Texas in the Rose Bowl or other BCS. If so, does Cal go to Cotton? (hope not - Rodgers could be the best QB we would face this year) :yikes:
I'm almost positive that Texas will not receive a BCS invite. I'm hoping we kick the longhorns azz, so I can talk some trash to the Texas fans.
Cal's lead in the BCS is .8431 to .8418 for Texas. I don't know if the Rose Bowl has a tie in that can't be violated but isn't Cal going in as at large? Or is it because the Champ game is the Orange bowl which takes Big XII champ? Cal is #2 in Pac10 and Texas is #2 in BigXII
Mute point - Cal just scored again (17 point lead)
I've read that it would only take 4 voters changing their ballots and putting Texas ahead of Cal, for Texas to move past them in the BCS standings and claim the #4 spot. The number 4 spot has an automatic at-large BCS bowl berth attached to it, so Cal may well get squeezed out of the Rose Bowl.
Maybe the Big 12 would send their runner-up Colorado to the Cotton Bowl, I think we could handle them.
