So now that the top 4 playoff teams have been selected, and now that FSU is out of the CFP, it puts FSU in the Orange Bowl and drops Louisville completely out of the New Years 6 discussions, opening up another spot.

So now that most likely means:

- Alabama, Georgia, and Missouri take CFP/New Years 6 spots

- Ole Miss likely takes a New Years 6 spot with the extra spot opened by FSU’s taking Louisville’s Orange Bowl spot

- LSU goes to the Citrus Bowl

- Tennessee (8-4) is the only ranked team in the “Pool of 6” section - alongside Texas A&M (7-5), Kentucky (7-5), Auburn (6-6). Meaning these teams are going to be placed among the Gator/Reliaquest(Outback)/Music City/Mayo/Liberty/Texas Bowl by the SEC conference…two of those bowls won’t have SEC teams (likely Liberty Bowl and either Texas/Mayo Bowl).

Its Gator bowl. It’s been discussed multiple times.

If you can get LSU to the Citrus with Ole Miss getting that extra New Years 6 spot, that should get us a good chance of getting to Tampa. I know the Pool of 6 slotting and all the bowls at that level are nominally equal but that's a marquee New Year's day slot for the conference. It looks like that would make sense for us, for the bowl, for the conference and ESPN.

Wherever FSU goes bowling GA should follow and end this discussion but I think Kirby will run from a tough bowl game based upon his regular season schedule.

Are they gonna announce all the Bowl games with each team playing where or are they gonna talk 4 hours about the 4 playoff teams? I have heard all I need to know about the playoffs!

I would love the Gator Bowl. I've only a couple hours away. Although any Florida Bowl would be close enough and great too.

I think they got it right. Florida State would get rolled by any other team in the top 6.

They have also always said that an early season loss is better than a late season loss and Georgia had a late season loss. I do think that Georgia would roll either Michigan or Washington.

I predict that it will be a rematch of Texas vs Alabama for the national championship and Saban announces his retirement shortly after the game.

Granted I’m just hoping for the last part, but I don’t think you spend millions of dollars on a home on an island off the coast of Florida if you aren’t planning on using it in the near future and Saban’s ego would be satisfied with going out on top.

A lot of FSU players will opt out. In fact, if I were FSU President, I’d encourage it to the point they couldn’t field a respectable team ( A&M in ‘21) declare my team National Champions & tell bowls to F themselves.
They shouldn't. I mean, for their own benefit, FSU should show up eager and itching to knock Georgia down. That way they can claim a share of the national title, the way UCF did a decade ago. Undefeated Power 5 conference champion who just beat the defending champion of the last two years? Heck yeah, claim a title off that.

Of course, that requires them to actually beat UGa. Tall order, because imo UGa is a much better team. But maybe most of UGa's players will opt out and they'll have to suit up some of the cheerleaders.

Go Vols!

Bama should have been rolled by a team that lost to New Mexico St the week before. Bad games no count when it is Bama
