The biggest disappointment is that in 2010 we had climbed to #2 (tie Texas) in bowl appearances (Alabama #1), having separated from #3 USC. We still stay ahead of USC cos they sit home, but perennially overrated texas has now separated from us.

Seems impossible that we .....

Anyway, I've supported CDD cos he's intelligent and decent. I have to admit that kiffin would have won more games.

According to most of the idiots here, you're not winning if you're not cheating or paying your players (Cam Newton, Reggie Bush) etc....and they think they know more about a football team, then the coach does....when most of them couldn't even break the starting line ups in peewee football...

Yeah if we had Kiffin we would not be going bowling. The NCAA would have us on probation. I really think that is why Kiffin did all that junk when he was here. Because he knew he was not staying here long. If USC didn't call he he would have left anyways. You could tell that by the drive by thing he did when he left. Would not answere anyone. Least when he was here he was able to talk to Lamar Dawson the LB from Kentucky last year and got him to go to USC instead of Tennessee.

I know it's all history, but why didn't the high paid management get both competent and clean?

We deserve it.
How do you know for sure it's not the situation we're in and just CDD? Convincing evidence to tell if he's competent or not hasn't come yet.

Nobody wanted the job bro. I know we deserve better but the state the program was in nobody wanted to come here. And think of it this way even if Dooley doesn't succeed, he would have left us with better talented players than what he inherited.

Kiffin even said this would be a rough year. The guy is gone and will not ever be back. Move on.

First off, I never wanted Kiffin here and wish he had never stepped foot in Knoxville. But I think its unfair to say that if he were still here we would be on probation. May be true, but we will never know. It is also unfair to say that he would win more games. Like my last post stated he even knew the past 2 years were going to be tough. Go back and listen to his presser when he was being introduced as the head coach.....he said "we will be good when we get good". Hate the man, but he even knew how bad of shape the program was in when he came here. And he left it in worse shape when he left.

What's Bowl Season?

This year for me it is watching the Wolf Pack and my bud's fiesty Iowa State team. My other team is Colorado and they suck even worse than we do this year.

Trying to keep the College Football fire burning but it's tough. Hope they have lots of shots of the cheerleaders for the bowl games......

Definitely UT, my blood is erringe. Dad went to NC State and my introduction to College sports was watching the Wolfpack.

When they first announced the game I was sure we would win, now I'm not so sure. The Wolfpack is extremely schizophrenic. One of my buds has season tix to the Wolfpack. Saw the season opener against Liberty and they were AWFUL! Could have lost that one. Then he and I saw the UT/Cinn game in Neyland. At that point we were both sure UT would crush the Wolfpack. Later we went to the UNC game and the Wolfpack D looked AWESOME. Chick-fil-a game is a toss up in my opinion. I'll be there in my Tennessee Shirt and NC State hat singing Rocky Top, not sure I'll do the Wolf hand signal or howl. Can't wait! :dance2:

I think its gonna be a good game but I think we pull it out no problem as long as we dont have any major injuries during spring and summer practice. :crossfingers:

Yes, Kiffin is a very good coach and a good recruiter BUT he can't perform miracles. Let's not forget that we lost miserably to Ole Piss & also to Va Tech. Those weren't just loses but they were embarassing loses.
I predict that even with Kiffin here we have close to the same record; with the exception of the Ky game.
With Kiffin, we qualify for a bowl game and might even win the Music City Bowl against Wake Forest.
