College Football News released their Midseason Bowl Projections today. Very interesting for UT fans, especialy those that believe the program isn't in trouble.

http://www.collegefootballnews.com/2005/Bo...Projections.htm

SEC Teams
Sugar Bowl: LSU (SEC Champs?) vs. Florida State
Capital One Bowl: Alabama vs. Penn State
Cotton Bowl: Florida vs. Texas Tech
Outback Bowl: Georgia vs. Michigan State
Peach Bowl: Auburn vs. Boston College
Independence Bowl: South Carolina vs. Kansas State
Music City Bowl: Tennessee vs. Wisconsin

On the radio, they also added the caviat that if Vanderbilt were to become bowl eligible, would they be a "more attractive" selection because of the story of them not having been in a bowl in so long. That might push us to the Houston Bowl. :banghead:

The Music City Bowl? I doubt that happens....We won't lose enough games to go there...I wouldn't doubt it if we don't end up back in the Peach Bowl again

From the Rose Bowl before the first game of the season to the Peach Bowl...what is wrong with that picture?

I thought bama had a standing reservation @ the Music City bowl.

Call me crazy, but I'd rather play in the Music City Bowl than the peach bowl. We have some serious bad karma in the Georgia Done. I'm stick of that place.

Hey, the key word in this thread is 'Projections'. Means about as much as the word possibly...or maybe...or perhaps...or if...or MAYBE NOT!!!

As far as I am concerned the 22nd is our bowl game. I care alot more about beating Bama and spoiling the crimson love fest than I do about some lame nonconference matchup at the end of the year. :gun:

i would have to say peach or cotton, but with aupset loss to south carolina or one of the other schools we usually play down to, the music city bowl is a possibility especially if we finish at 6-5 or maybe 7-4.

This is pretty depressing. I think our real bowl games are going to be when we play Bama and ND. We wont get an opportunity to play anyone that good in a bowl game.

All we have to play for is to keep from finishing outside of the top 25. If we lose to both ND and Bama we probably will anyways.

Does anyone want to cry over this post. Preseason #3 in the nation and now we are worried we might have to settle for the Music City Bowl. Sad times these are indeed.

GO VOLS! BEAT BAMA!......please
