UNCs QB would embarrass us running. Otherwise that would be a good matchup.

I have to say that I want a win more than anything. Getting to 8 wins would really do a lot for us perception and recruiting wise.
Personally I would be less excited about Ty Chandler gaining a yard against us.

They beat some teams that could beat us and lost to some teams we could absolutely curb stomp. Toss up imo.
That loss came without their QB and they HAD to play him banged up afterwards because they have ZERO backup options. They are not the team we want. They are beatable. But their D is athletic and They will abuse our LBs offensively.

We’d have a month to prepare, and I have a hard time believing Sam Howell wouldn’t opt out for a mid level bowl game. Howell has taken a beating this season.

Tennessee football bowl projections: Music City, Gator, Duke's Mayo or others?

I see where everyone keeps saying Music City but frankly that does not make sense for the conference relative to geography.

Assuming UGA, Bama & OM are in the NY6 or Championship, then that leaves the Citrus to select the 4th best team. The Citrus Bowl is the only one of the next 7 bowls that appears not to care about attendance, so they could muck things up by picking Arky but I expect them to select a 9-3 UK.

After that it's a round table effort for the next 6 slots (Outback, Texas, Music City, Mayo, Gator & Liberty). By all accounts it is about maximizing fit, attendance & matchups. A&M & Arky have better records thus everyone assumes one of them gets the Outback. But A&M has lost 2 of their last 3 to underdogs and finished a disappointing season. The Hogs have the momentum, but they also have a 17 hour drive from Fayetteville to Tampa. 30k piggies aren't going to fly to Tampa. That's why Nashville makes no sense for TN. The SEC needs it for one of the two western teams. My guess: A&M to Nashville & Arkansas to Houston.

If that happens, the Vols on the strength of their history of attendance and the favorable trending, are likely to get the Outback. Even if the Outback went with one of the western schools, I think MSU (by benefit of geography) gets Nashville and TN gets either Charlotte or Jacksonville. I just don't see UT winding up in Nashville until the spring game is played at Nissan Stadium.

Based on his performance in the NC State game, he may gain a yard or two, but maybe not much more. I know he has been decent this season for them, but I was pretty disappointed in him.
