Has the line on the game moved? That’s a true gauge.

I like our chances. I’ve seen zero % of their games.

Their best offensive player and defensive player have both declared for the NFL draft and opted out of the game.
I had wished they hadn’t, because even if they would have had them I still think we beat them either way. Would have been that much sweeter to beat them at full strength so they wouldn’t have any excuses when we do WTFA!!!

I’m not saying you’re wrong, but this was posted 13 hours ago (and don’t see anything more recent, yet) and just confirms that they’re both declaring for the draft, but hasn’t confirmed they have opted out of the bowl yet. They can still play as long as they don’t hire an agent, but I haven’t seen anything yet that says definitively, “they aren’t playing in the bowl game.”

It hasn't been confirmed, but that's the word from Purdue fans.

I've seen where it says they're both opting out of their senior seasons, but i haven't seen anything where they say they're missing the bowl game. i hope you're right though

Likely, ESPN or someone makes this excuse for them. Just like they did when we beat Nebraska. They harped about how the corn shuckers were missing a few players, all while ignoring we lacked several as well due to injury. Media loves us because we travel so well, and hates us when actually do well in games. They should have eggnog hydraulically pumped into their navels.

They are a pass heavy team with no run game. Their best receiver will not be playing. I don't think a lot of those pickers are taking that into account. Keep in mind, a lot of people who are picking games on ESPN do not follow either TN or Purdue. They just pick who has the better record, or who had the better odds in vegas at the time of picking.

Sounds like you might be referring to the consensus line, which is set for betting purposes. While it can be more accurate than the opening line, it is not an indicator of probable outcome. You might want to read this:

The line moved in favor of the good guys within a day or so of the matchup being announced.
