Bowl Game

Could care less. Meaningless exhibition game where half the team opts out (in many cases).

Only potential relevance is the extra practices..

It’s a great opportunity to add another (fill in the name) bowl game sweatshirt for the old closet.
I've worn some tee shirts...sweatshirts out over the years and had to get rid of some of them...Have some old ones too. Liberty Bowl vs Arkansas....Peach Bowl vs Indiana...Cotton Bowl vs Arkansas...Sugar Bowl vs Miami...Liberty Bowl Minnesota...Blue Bonnet Purdue...Liberty Bowl Maryland...I been to several of them.

We couldn't do it with Pavia, I'm skeptical that we can do it much better vs King. He'd likely torch our defense as well.

No, we need a slow, plodding offense with an somewhat immobile, preferably lame, QB to face in a bowl game.

Does it really matter?

If you don’t make the CFP then the most important thing about a meaningless bowl game is the extra practices for the returning players and early enrollees.

I'd put some money that we won't play them since we open with them next season.

If the Gator choose Ga Tech, we will lobby for Tampa or Charlotte
I'm not sure the bowl committees pay attention to next year's schedule. NC State Played East Carolina in their bowl game last year and then opened the season with them this year.

I wish my favorite team was bowl eligible, but alas they are not.

I do get the general feeling with it being playoffs or bust, but I like college football and whatever big bowls are on,I tend to watch them.

I hope it’s not Iowa. We’ve played them twice in the past 10 years and blew their doors off both times. No desire to see that again.
Seems unlikely that they would make a rematch of a team we blew out 2 years ago. Lazy prediction by the Georgia Homer ESPN writer. The bowls try to at least get new matchups that will sell as many tickets as possible unless there is intrigue for a rematch.

If we play in Jacksonville could play Virginia, Miami, Louisville, Pitt, SMU
If we play in Charlotte could play those teams along with Duke or Wake Forest or Clemson
If we play in Tampa, we could play Iowa, USC, Washington, Illinois
If we play in Nashville, we could play N'Western, Minnesota, Illinois or Penn State

If we play Illinois, call it the Slop Bowl with how each coach looks on gameday.

Bowls are fun. Seriously. As a fan, you can travel to a fun city, hang with fellow Vols and cool opposing team fans. Party, eat great food and did I mention party. Live life! Go to the bowl game and have a great time! And oh by the way….. Cheer on our beloved Vols!

USA Today projected the Vols to face Georgia Tech in the Gator Bowl. That's a good bowl for travelling fans.
I'm hoping for that, if things work out and I'm not in California, I may go.

I am in the minority but the bowl game, aside from another game to watch my team before the long dry spell, is meaningless. It's an exhibition. I don't care if they win or lose. It matters for the coaches and some players, though.
I wish the Vandy game would’ve mattered to the coaches and players. Instead they just laid down and got their arse handed to them in their own house. Absolutely sickening.
