Does anyone know where the team or alumni group are staying for the bowl. I have reservations at the st. Petersburg Hilton but can change it. Last year my hotel in Jacksonville was all Vol fans and it was great! Where are you guys staying?

I'm staying at the Sleep Inn across the bridge between Clearwater/St. Pete. Seems to have an easy ride to the stadium about 13 miles east. Can't wait!

Staying at my house about 90 minutes east. Lots of orange here! And will be wearing plenty on game day!

Not sure why they make hotel arrangements public. You'd figure with all the crazies in the world that they would want to be as private as possible. I'd want to be looking out for the safety of the players and coaches when traveling. Maybe I'm a little paranoid but I wouldn't risk it.

Be careful because the bridges around here have a tendency to have extended travel time. The Howard Frankland is notorious to back and take an hour to cross. Why I no longer work in Tampa.

Pretty nice and convenient though a pricey hotel is the interContinental off Kennedy and Westshore. Decent restaurants around it include Seasons 52, Maggiannos Italian, and Mitchell's fish market.

Thanks. I was not aware of that. I suppose we will have to leave extra early on Friday morning to get to the stadium. We will be getting on 275 across that bridge if it helps... from Ulmerton Rd.

You guys are all nuts. Why would you not stay on the beach? I lived in Tampa for 3 years and know the area well. There is a plethora of options to meet anyone's needs from Clearwater to Pass-a-Grille.

You should have no problem at all, especially on a holiday.
