100 miles is nothing. Ive driven 8 plus hours for a weekend for a game in Knoxville and 4-5 hours from Tampa to Jacksonville for the Gator Bowl.
Currently almost 3 hours frm Cocoa to Jacksonville.
The only 3 places for bowl games for me to go that's close is Orlando- 1 hour, Jacksonville -3 hours, Miami-3 hours

I live on Merritt Island. I thinks we be naybors. Ever been to Bugnutty Brewery?

The payout is important, which nobody has mentioned. For the bowls we're eligible for Music City is the highest, so that's the bowl we want, especially since we'll have 90% of the fans there. Belk is the next highest payout, then Liberty and then Birmingham.

Wouldn't the Birmingham bowl be a good one since it is the only one on that day? Lots of exposure I would think for potential recruits

Birmingham or Duck Bowl. If we had finished strong, we would have been bumped up due to our ability to travel, but the way we've played the last two weeks, we will likely get one of the two at-large spots.

Not that these mean much of anything since SEC makes final decision

I think Tennessee will get either the Belk or Music City Bowl. Arkansas at 6-6 has the Liberty Bowl sewed up I would believe against Texas.

The Texas beat writers are saying the Texas Bowl is taking Texas. From what I've seen, WVU is a lock for the Liberty Bowl, so if that's our destination, that's who we'll likely be playing.

Just a question: who will drive over 100 miles to go to our bowl game? To me, that is a measuring stick. Belk is closest to me.

Makes no difference where it is at the allotment of tickets should be sold out. So more than you think. Bowl it and people will come.

It would be cool if the guy on ESPN was right and Tennessee plays Duke in the Music City Bowl.

Hoping it's the Liberty Bowl simply for the fact I'll be guaranteed on going. The Music City Bowl is pushing it for me.

I really want the Music City bowl so I can go to the game and then walk across the bridge to the Ryman and watch Old Crow Medicine Show

"It's very rewarding. That's why you coach. You coach to influence young people, create positive change and build a culture. They didn't want it to end. We talked about our life expectancy and fighting to live two, three more weeks. I told them we had a team meeting Monday at three o'clock. It could be to go over our bowl schedule or it could be goodbye. And it kind of hit them. They said 'coach we don't want to say goodbye.' Again, this group has been resilient all year."-Coach Butch Jones

I am thinking these young men are ready to play whoever and wherever ..GO VOLS!

West Virginia got smoked by Texas and looked terrible in that game 3 weeks ago. They only beat two teams with winning records, Maryland and Baylor, although they played a tough schedule.

Doubt they have more than 10-15% of the fans in Memphis.

WV fans actually travel really well. There's a running joke about why there are so many west Virginians in Charlotte, it's because that's all the further they can make it on a tank of gas.

If we are in the Liberty Bowl, I may take a motorhome. I saw where they had a lot with electrical hookups and sewer. Do you guys think it would be safe to RV at the Liberty Bowl? Also, does anyone know if they have RV parking at the Music City Bowl?

I have a NC State friend who's saying the ACC bowls will literally draw out of a hat to see who gets Notre Dame. If Belk Bowl does not draw Notre Dame, they will almost surely select NC State, and either way the speculation is that the SEC opponent will be Tennessee.

Really hoping for a matchup between you guys and the sips for the Liberty Bowl.

In our house we pull for everyone who is playing them, and this would mean I could break out some Vol gear for the wife and I.
