Started this game tonight. Man, it's intense. Never tried the demo, so no idea what's in it. The fight scenes are fun right now and the Bourne takedowns and gunfire is cool. Lots of people don't like quick time events, but I think it's working pretty well and brings something a different to the table.

I don't think there's any online multi-player. As such, I'd recommend renting it for a weekend or two. Finished the first mission tonight. I'll report back tomorrow with more impressions. I'll definately be playing it more tomorrow.

I think most around here know, but I've got a modded xbox and games tend to get released on the internet before stores. I still buy plenty of games and take the chance of being banned from xbox live. Some agree, some don't. I try and let folks here know about games before they buy them if possible.

As for Bourne...I've had Ninja Gaiden 2 sitting on my desk since yesterday afternoon. Can't bring myself to stop playing Bourne. It's a really fun game and suprising how much I like it. Starting to get on the virge of repetitive, but I like the movies and want to see how this version ends up. (I've haven't read the books yet) Probably 7 or 8 hours into it so far.

Rockin good news, I have it on my gamefly and prolly will rent it 1st. Have you figured out any wicked combos or do you just randomly use light and heavy attacks?

I can assure you that any video game based on the movies will bear no resemblance to anything that happens in the books.

Thanks for the info on the game, though. I loved the movies as well and more often than not games based on movies aren't all that great.

Yeah, I think they were shooting more for the books. From what I've read, it's supposed to be all the books combined, possibly (condensed). I'm still not real sure. While I remember the first movie somewhat, I can't say if it's following it all that closely. The game does involve flashbacks that you play as the super agent doing missions for the company.

I've also been told a few times that the movies and the books don't have all that much in common. I need to get them sometime.

Yeah, the books are great, and they're completely different from the movies. I'm about halfway through the Bourne Supremacy right now. The Bourne Identity's opening scene where Bourne gets shot and falls into the ocean is just like it is in the movie, but from there on out, they have nothing in common.

the books all deal with Bourne/Webb fighting against Carlos the Jackal. Mary is a Canadian economist, not a German, and she doesn't die. They get married and he becomes a professor at a college in Maine. Alex Conklin is a fixture through all three books and is of vital importance to Bourne in books 2 and three.

There's a lot more to it than just those items, and I understand why the movies are such a radical departure from the books.

Doesn't sound quite as exciting as the movies. Looking forward to the next one and see what they do with the story they have going.

Dr...and you playing through on trainee or agent? Do you have to play through either one of these to unlock assassin?

I'm on Agent. I'm going to knock out the last level here in a few minutes. All 3 were unlocked from the get-go.

Nothing has been all that hard except the boss fight before this level. If you want to lengthen the game a bit, I would think Assasin might be good for people that are good at video games. I'm ok, but enjoy a mild challenge to a frustrating 'throw my controller at the tv' experience and generally just play the default level.

Thats good..thought about starting out on Assassin..but I didn't want to get too frustrated out of the gate..so prolly start agent as well..gotta get Turok finished up so I can return it.

I wanted to double check before giving bad info, but you can switch levels whenever you want. When you start the game (or start it up from a save), you select the level you want to play. One of the tip screens evens mentions turning it up or down if you're having problems with certain points.

Off to finish it up now so I can get Ninja Gaiden 2 going tonight.

I just started reading "The Bourne Identity" last week (slow reader... not alot of time) and it's really shocking how much the screenplay differs from the movie. So far... the book is tons better.

Is this going to be released on PC by any chance?

i just got it today and just got done playing about 4 straight hours. the gameplay is awesome. the graphics are amazing and the hand to hand combat is sweeet. the only this is the camara angle sometimes gets out of whack. but it's one of the better games I've bought. it's a must have if you loved the movies and books like myself
