Bottom line... We'll lose to Florida if Crompton starts

Crompton after the game....."We really didn't get into our groove as an offense," Crompton said. "When you don't, some doubts come, but the upside is we were in that game at the end. We had four turnovers and we still came up 1 yard short. That is the one positive."

WTF!!!

I would respect the guy a little if he apologized to his teammates for being the worst qb in America. He should be a man and say I played horrible and I had 4 turnovers today. Maybe he should watch Tebow a little bit and decide to play harder, study harder, and work harder than anyone. I think he should quit and do everyone a favor.

He could have. When i played we did stuff in private. Never needed to publicize an apology.

His response was a little harsh though. I know that he's angry from the loss, but that last post - if it were simplified - is almost pretty much saying "crompton should go crawl in a ditch and die".........

UT gets beat by UF if Peyton starts.....unless some weird things happen! Possible, but unlikely!

Since Peyton never beat UF during his great career at Tennessee, it seems doubtful that merely substituting him for Crompton would change much.

Vols were 0-4 against Gators during Peyton's career (1994-1997) but since he did not play in the 1994 game (Todd Helton at QB ?), which Vols lost 31-0 at home, Peyton is only 0-3 as a starter against the Gators.

Hopefully, as SOS would say, Lane will spend all week coaching Crompton up & will have him fully prepared for Saturday's game in the Swamp before 94,000 mildly interested Gator fans & a national TV audience.

Luckily, Urban Meyer is not the sort of person to take offense at being slandered by a rookie opposing coach who (at that time) had never even coached a game in the SEC & RUTS as payback would never enter his mind.

Hopefully, your great band (The Pride of the Southland) will favor us with a rendition or two of 'Rocky Top', just to get all of our players, coaches, & fans in the mood for a festive & exciting game.

I agree with the post stating it won't matter who our qb is. We are so gonna get a beatdown. I give up predicting any winners where the Vols are concerned. I mean....I thought yesterday would be a good, solid win, with good numbers. For us.....so terrible, so sad. I'm gonna cheer for my Vols cuz I love UT, but this is a real downer. :furious3:
