Thought it was funny when they were talking about something to take place on the date of the South Carolina football game next year. The guy said let's hope for brighter days on that date next year. Then they voted on the issue and you could hear Haslam ask are we voting on the brighter day or what lol
So, I've been halfway listening, and I must have missed the announcement. Can someone dummy down for me what happened and its impact so a three year old could understand it?
The item was on the consent agenda at the end of the meeting. They did not discuss it but voted for its approval. From what I can read, it appears that this put the control of the fundraising in the hands of Cheek rather than the foundation. I hope I'm wrong, but this would seem to be a very bad thing.
This was just about fundraising stuff... this did nothing to help the AD's cause on admissions or standards for athletes... the meeting today did nothing to help us attract a good coach.
