This appears to be the truth based on what I’m hearing as well.

Sounds like Jimmy promised Currie a lot of money for the stadium renovations if he got to pick the coach. ONLY explanation that makes sense.

This is a bad mistake. Early signing is a month away. If Currie walks, who will lead our search?

He's only been on the job nine months, and lets be honest, the Blackburn crowd had their knives out for him from the very beginning. Peyton Manning is also vetting our new football coach as well.

It doesn't really matter at this point. It is larger than football , now.

I don't see how he survives the day let alone this week. I watched Clay Travis's video on twitter and whether you agree with him or not, he was right, Currie is dang fool and was trying screw TN again.

Currie has got to go, I don't see how you can trust him with any form of hiring

I agree wholeheartedly. The fact that I’m on the same page as Clay Travis for once is proof enough this has to stop

Firing Currie is almost mandatory. But UT disassociating itself from Haslam would also be required step in the healing process. You cannot fire a booster, but you most certainly disassociate him from activity in your school.

Going through the Board of Trustees and replacing those who are under his influence would also be a priority; that is, if the school really wants to be serious in reforming itself from this Armageddon it has experienced.

You don't need money from the Brown stain and stench that has so much influence that ultimately resulted in this national embarrassment.

Yes Currie needs to be gone, but that won't solve the problem. Currie is just a hand picked puppet of the Haslems. It's the Haslems that need to be excommunicated from the university in order to really solve the problem.

Hard to distance UT BOT from the governor.

Hard to do that with one in the office of governor and who will probably be the president of UT next year

Precisely. We can survive without his money. And frankly with the way he is destroying this program we can't afford not to have him banned from UT.

We are headed into a dark time...but we must rid ourselves of the folks who continue to bring this program down and bow to “old money” in order to truly have a chance at the future. I am headed to ktown today...if something isn’t done then many of us have no other choice than to pull funding and resources until a change is made. I urge all of you no matter how big or small a donor to let the folks at UTAD department know we expect a healthy process and fair shake....if not support other good causes and get tickets on stub hub the day of the game if you want but do not donate until resolution has come.

Hope you're bringing others. You can't get here soon enough.

He can resign later. We need to hire a football coach as soon as possible.

No coach worth his salt is coming to work for a lame duck AD. Better for the long run to fire him and go through the process of hiring a new AD then coach.

.

Do you really want him hiring your next coach?

Who makes the hire honestly doesn't matter all that much. The candidates remaining on the list are all fine, serviceable coaches. Jeff Brohm, Tee Martin, Jeremy Pruitt would all be great hires.

What matters now is that we get a new coach in here who can salvage our recruiting class and start coaching up the team. We've got to think about the current players, who must be feeling very disheartened right now.

After the new coach is in place, I honestly don't care if Currie stays or goes.

Atl Carrie the fight for to them and keep it there.
If first the breaks don’t go your way put on more steam.

It could be done if we (all Tennessee fans, and friends/family of Tennessee fans) start hitting them hard in the wallet, by boycotting every business enterprise they are associated with. Also, all Tennessee fans need to contact every politician running for governor and let them know that we will not support any politician that will not come out publically against Bill Haslem becoming UT president. Only collectively could we as a group have a chance to make a difference.
