Kiffin and the kids do a lot of fishing down in Boca. Why the hell would he move his family to Fayetteville?

Heard from an Arkansas booster and double checked it with a vol who is a university professor there..

They hired the Houston AD in order to get an inside track to Lane Kiffin. Plane tracking is going on and they fully expect Kiffin to get an offer from Arkansas. That WalMart money is going to be hard to say "no" to..

Interesting. But kiffin might find a home poking Uncle Nick in the nads every fall. (and that should make us happy except when we have to play them).

I think he can be a solid 8 win guy at Arkansas, but time will tell.

His family will be soooo excited. moving from CA to FL and now AR. No way he stays if successful. :good!:

Everyone acts like we are the only ones that tracks planes and start rumors.

That was stated on Fox Sports radio, yes they did hire the Houston AD but that is also the same AD that passed on Lane Kiffin at Houston. Why would he hire him at Arkansas?

My understanding is that the Trustees passed on Kiffin (for some reason they had to approve the offer before it was made), but the AD took the name Lane Kiffin to the Trustees to ASK for approval.

So, there's that.. I know, it's all up in the air.

Because the AD wanted Kif at Houston but the boosters overruled him...try to keep up up with this thread drama dude :)

If the boosters at Houston didn't think he was good enough, there isn't much hope to think the boosters at Arkansas. Lane Kiffin is a great offensive mind but he comes with a lot of baggage that most major programs aren't going to consider, yet.

If true, that's another blow to TN. They will lose to him because he will out coach TN. Plus all the other coaches we will have to play against. Year after year. Can not catch a break.

I wouldn’t stay there for 3 months. What a crap hole.

The rest of the state may not be much but Northwest Arkansas is one of the fastest growing places in the country. Endless things to do outdoors in the Ozarks and the best art museum in the country right next door. Walmart money has done a lot for the area over the past 20 years. I know people who moved from California and Houston who love it because it's not too small yet not big enough to have to deal with ridiculous traffic and housing costs.

I don’t think Lane would take this job. It’s the hardest job in the SEC. Not sure Saban could succeed there.

Harder than Vandy or Kentucky? The coach before Bielema had Arkansas finishing top 5 in the country and the coach before him won the SEC West multiple times. It's a brutal division and there isn't much in-state talent (have to be able to recruit Texas) but the money, facilities and fan support are all there. In the west Arkansas leads the all-time series over Ole Miss, Texas A&M and Mississippi State and is around .500 against LSU and Auburn the last 10 years.

Not only are we obsessed about Kiffin threads,(he's coming,he's not coming, take the poll ect) now we spill over to Arkansas and doing the hiring for them too. The Kiffin/gruden fans are like Night of the Living dead, waking around looking for Kiffin/Gruden,over and over. Even after they hire a new coach, they will still be obsessed about them.

He won’t stay at Arkansas more than 3 years.

He’ll end up leaving again.

Again, is that supposed to be a slam on him? If he is able to get another job after arky, then that means he was successful enough to get a bigger offer from someone else...

i reached out to my source and was told that the Kiffin negotiations fell apart at the last minute. I cannot believe this because WalMart money is solid -- must have been something else. Anyway, it flipped to plan B, Chad Morris, people in Fayetteville are NOT happy tonight with Chad Morris.

WOW.. Arky might be worse next year...
