Booing Marlon Brown

They weren't saying "booooooooooooo", they were saying "grandma's booooooooooooooooooooooooooyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy".

That said, he's the #2 freshman receiver for UGA this year. I think when all is said and done, not getting this kid isn't going to be a back-breaker. I think we'll be just fine with the three freshman receivers we have.

Since the first ever ticket was paid for, this gave the fan the right to cheer or boo for any player, team, coach or official in the stadium. That right comes with the price of admission. No brainer !

Compromise: don't boo him after this
if people boo him next year, thennnnnn that's getting out of hand

Next year the game will be at Athens, so he will get a year off.

I think that a Marloooooooon chant would be good when he returns to Knoxville and makes a bad play.

I booed the times he touched the ball Saturday and was yelling " I hope your Grandma likes the decision you made and I hope she is doing well!!". Boo that bonehead mercilessly. He went to a program that is completely on a downslide and reminds me so much of the last few years of Fulmer's tenure at Tennessee. Richt will be the next to go in the SEC. His time has come and gone.

I sat a couple seats away from his grandmother and I can assure you she is doing well. I'll pass along your well wishes. You're a 40 year old man calling an 18 year old whom you've never met a "bonehead" on a message board. Stay classy.

For everyone, I didn't take the time to read through this thread, but I'm going to assume most of it is the same ignorant comments regurgitated. We won the game 45-19. Enjoy the win. Move on with your life. Boo him all you want. He understands why, and it doesn't bother him. So if it makes you feel better, boo him. Next time he comes to Knoxville, I hope it's the same result. But I think it's time to lay off obsessing over a decision made by a teenager and those closest to him with his best interests in mind. Either way, you're more than likely ignorant to the situation and should lay off the name-calling.

Go Vols:rock:

Can't believe a misogynist could say this with a straight face :)

I would say that it is ignorant to make a comment about a whole thread without reading it first.

If the booing doesn't get to him then +1 for him, but that is easy to say and tough to do when your on the field with 100,000 people yelling at you and waiting for you to mess up.

I will agree that some of the comments about his grandmother really don't need to be made, but I think that was the exception and not the rule of the posters in this thread.

So, to you I say "stay classy".

I was on the hotel shuttle bus with his mom and grandma after the game...when the people on the bus asked her why he didn't come to UT, she said "I wish he would have..." and then we told her it wasn't too late for him to transfer...

I loved the booing, we should do it next year in Athens, and in 2 years when he returns.

..But I do not think this kid will ever be anything really special like AJ Green. We should always remind him of the poor decision he made.

Think what you want, but I was on the bus...it was his mom, grandmother, and a little girl, dressed in a Georgia cheerleader outfit. She was on the phone most of the time on the bus. When she got on, they were talking about being glad they were able to see him play, and one of the guys said, "Who is your son?" and she said, "Marlon".

The drive from Memphis to Athens is about 60 more miles than Memphis to Knoxville.

I was at the game and yelled to him to blame his grandma for choosing him a loser of a school to attend.

I had a problem with the whole thing while I was there...... we didn't "boo" nearly loud enough!
