Booing Marlon Brown

I heard the booing, but thought it was b/c of some call on the field

it really makes the fanbase look bad (and well stupid) if they're taking the time to boo a backup player

Failure Nancy. He had the freedom of speech to choose his college and I have the freedom of speech to boo him

They didn't boo him loudly enough. Anyone on here who has a problem with the fans booing him because it might hurt his little feelings needs to adjust your panty hose.

I booed MB and I was loud. And just in case he didn't hear me:

Boooooooooo

Serious?

Who are these people acting like booing is a sin?

The same people who call in the morning and say...

"Hi Mickey (wait for reply)... Hi Jeff(wait for reply)... Hi Heather(wait for reply)..."

On the topic, saw this earlier, may have been posted.

Q: What do you think it will be like running onto the field and seeing Lane Kiffin and others who recruited you?

A: It's going to be awkward. I'm not going to lie. It's going to be awkward. It's going to be hectic for one thing, from the fans and stuff.

Q: What was Kiffin like recruiting you?

A: He was real cool. I liked him a lot. He was real cool.

Q: Was he different than other coaches?

A: He was different from (Georgia) Coach (Mark) Richt and (Ohio State) Coach (Jim) Tressel and (Notre Dame) Coach (Charlie) Weis and everybody else. He was more laid-back. Laid-back young guy. He's cool, can kick it

Q: What did you think about him saying that your grandmother wouldn't let you go to Tennessee?

A: It was true. She wasn't comfortable with me going there. That's what it was.

Q: So would you have gone to Tennessee otherwise?

A: I really don’t know. I am not living in the past right now

Q: How close was it between Georgia and Tennessee?

A: Real close. … But I am here now and I am happy

Once a prized Vols recruit, UGA's Brown heads home | ajc.com

My favorite part was the Georgia fan behind me trying to say that we were booing the wrong guy.. That they had 2 players named Marlon Brown. After looking at the roster, theres obviously one Marlon Brown and one Marquise Brown. Gotta love the know-it-all fans who don't know their own roster.

No way. That was a high profile, in-state snubbing he gave us. We don't like him OR his Granny. I hope he felt like crawling under a rock and smacking his Mammie!!! Enjoy your stint playing for your border rival Benedict!!

:ermm:

I would say it makes the fanbase look VERY knowledgable about the ins and outs of the program...but to each his own

I boo'd him both times and enjoyed it. First time it was rather weak though.

And I laughed when he dropped that one pass and then got whacked with the helmet-to-helmet contact or whatever it was on the play that never happened.

seriously though, recruiting's a kid choosing a school both where he things he'll fit in, where he's comfortable, and just where he likes/feels good about (cant make someone like a place that doesnt fit in with them the right way)
and really in which system he thinks he'll be most successful. It's not like a contract given and he said he wants the team going to a superbowl

I mean if the kid had done what chris simms did, it's one thing. But honestly, he really didn't do anything (and he didnt say "I'm signing w/ gawja; FU UT !").

But seriously the kid's not even starting; he doesnt deserve any more attention from our fanbase than the backup punter would at this point
Yep, that's pretty much EXACTLY what he did. He went where he THOUGHT the biggest chance for glory and wins was....when your top in-state recruit, that is heavily recruited by his in-state school chooses to cross the border, he should be publically NOTICED

I am glad we booooooo'd him. I hope we do it every time he enters our house. Kid went to a rival when we needed his talents. I hope he realizes if he had been wearing orange in that game he could have walked out with his head high and a few TD's.......Hope he likes his Bulldogs:crazy:

I thought it was funny, probably wouldn't do it myself. He has the right to go where he wants. Wishes he had come here now though.

No Problems here!! I think I'm looking in a mirror when looking at Jawja! Richt is Fulmer without the Championships!! Go to their boards and they are having the same arguments we had over Fulmer. Richtites same as Fumerites (I am a reformed Fulmerite) LMAO! I just hope they keep Richt around a few more years!!!!! GO VOLS and CROMPDADDY!!!

I guess J. Jackson was trying to "Catch Him coming across the middle"...for real! :)
