We lost a lot of potent offensive skill players but I think we should be a lot more solid on defense and a lot better along the Oline. Butch will find a way to generate points on offense; we've just got to hope that our overhauled defensive staff can be a lot better and our players can stay healthy. I really think this team is going to surprise some people.

We got a lot of yards but we laid the football on the ground entirely too much. If we protect the ball, results will be better. Would've beat Vandy and tx a and m if we had done that and reduce stupid penalties. Play discipline football again.

that last part is dead on. We have scored about 170 on UK the last 3 years and now somehow we are behind them without playing another game at all against anyone. Stoops, for a defensive guru has not fielded a Defense yet. And UGA loses 5 games, with the same roster as they have now, and now 7 months later they are labeled " sec contenders". Plus their HC looks as bad on gamedays as Butch has looked. haha like what is all this hype? i dont get it.

Looks like I have to eat some crow. Had us as a 6-7 win season. Didn't miss it by much but did miss it.....assuming we reach 5 wins vs Vandy next week. Hard to fathom that we could actually be a 4 win team.

Booger went on a Nashville radio show this morning and predicted that the upcoming season for CBJ and Tennessee Vols football will be "abysmal."

That is a pretty strong word to use and Booger thinks it is because we lost a lot of talent, we are breaking in a new QB and other teams in the SEC are more talented. He also is obviously not a big believer in CBJ. I don't think the season will be "abysmal", but CBJ has to get a few wins out of the BAMA, LSU, FL and GA gauntlet and absolutely cannot have a Vandy/SC/KY "slip up" this season.

Exactly, it's like a broken record.

Preseason media will say our season will be average to subpar; people here whine about lack of respect.

Fastforward to December, we meett their expectations or do worse, fans cry for the coach to get fired; insert cracks about the media like "Broke clock right twice a day" or "they still know nothing".

The next year: repeat.
