Booger McFarland On TN vs KY

I hate to sound like a crotchety old man but It bugs me to death that this guy continues to use the name "Booger" as a television sports analyst. It's one thing to have a nickname when your in college. However it's completely unprofessional when you're in the professional world, especially someone in his position.

Note to self: Never step on Brave Volunteer's lawn 😄

I remember when beating KY wasn't exactly a cause for celebration; it was a forgone conclusion. Now we act like it actually means something.

Thats just you. I consider the rest of the year a forgone conclusion if we show up and play to our potential.

Wow, hope everyone on this board is right. I have been reading that Towles is NFL caliber. If so, that plays to our weakness - our secondary. Could be a high scoring game both ways in neighborhood 48-42, unless Barnett follows up with another great performance.

No Towles is not NFL caliber. He was benched last week for a freshmen. Just because a guy is tall and white doesn't make him NFL caliber.

"Don't be surprised if you see backup QB Drew Barker in the game against TN if Towles starts to feel the pressure."

"There's simply too much Dobbs, too much Hurd, and too much Kamara for Kentucky to handle. This game goes to TN."

I saw a clip where Kentucky only had 3 guys in the box vs. Mississippi State when Dak Prescott had a TD run. If they do that vs. us, we'll have 300+ rushing yards.

Yes. I had a friend whom everyone knew as "Gas"--but not for the reason you'd think. As a teen he saved a life by going into a house where there was a gas leak and carrying out the unconscious man.

But fortunately he married a wise girl who "broke us" from calling him that. He became a well known local public servant and remains widely respected across our city--by the name his mother gave him. (Ironically, it was McFarland's mother who started calling him "booger" when he was two, because he was so bad. Glad his mom wasn't Irish. We could be watching Dingleberry McFarland on the SEC panel!)

The only debatable part of your post would be assigning "professional" to being a television personality. There are way too many examples of highly rated shows whose panel hosts are ridiculously unprofessional. If Booger increases your Q score more than Anthony... you can bet your agent will see that your paychecks say Booger.

I find it amazing that some still think this is the TN of old. We're not able to blow SEC teams off the field anymore.

Exactly. Tn is 3rd in the SEC for rushing & Ky is 11th in the SEC against the run. The Vols are going to run it down their throats. I will be surprised if this game is as close as some people think it will be. Of course, some people thought it would be close last year too. :)

I just want to apologize to the people who said it wouldn't be like last year & thought Ky might win. I predicted that Tennessee would win by 32. (see pick the score thread) They only won by 31, so I apologize. I was wrong & I am big enough to admit when I am wrong.

I'm sorry, who the hell is Booger McFarland? Sounds like a character in a Dan Jenkins novel.

I love to listen to Booger on the SEC network he might be LSU alumni but he is not Biased and i think a part of him wants to see Tennessee do good. He is always one of the first to say something good about us.
Does anyone believe Hurd has a chance to pull a Fournette and run for 200 on UK tommorow?

Only about 139 yards short.
