He needs to go. He’s single handedly given up 2 4th down conversions. If his family is going to keep up with the distractions and this is the type of on field play we’re doing to get there’s no reason to keep him around
Amen !! Colorado needs him more !! maybe his Mama will pack his and her bags and hit the road!!

Okay, you all can crap on him.

I’ve stated numerous times that I wasn’t worried if he left. Because our roster is deeper than it’s ever been.

Heupel decided to give him a chance. To try and make an impact in his life

Heupel.

I’ll trust his foresight on the situation over a bunch of dudes that just want to piss on a kid…

I'm glad a lot of you guys aren't the coach of the Vols. It seems you can read Boo's mind and know he doesn't want to be here. He obviously does. He's doing what is asked of him to remain on the team. Good players make bad plays or take bad angles all the time. As long as the team wants him with them, I'll defer to them.

Agree. Said that several times during the episode. If the coaches and the players council wants him back, everyone should be good with that. But that doesn’t change the fact he missed the chance to end that drive on the missed sack. Angelis isn’t that elusive and Boo just flat missed him.

Boo who? If he doesn't want to be here, go.

Dude hasn't accomplished squat here yet. Asking for a raise based on future potential. Cart before horse, and a good way to get recruited over. Reminds me of a dude we had last year, can't think of his name though.

He has talent, no doubt about it. I don't understand why he felt he didn't need to attend team events during the summer. He should have known that would not sit well with his teammates or the coaching staff. He seems to be putting in the required work to get back to playing. I hope he learns something from this. My biggest concern is with his Mom being in his ear and her toxic views of things. I truly feel sorry for Boo in that regard. I hope he can ignore the outside distractions and not make a bad decision based on family ideas. He should have been paying attention to what happened with Nico.

He added nothing to the win. If he's a true 5*, he would have. If he stays on the team, the only thing he should see moving forward is line-drive punts and short kickoffs. Not an elite DB, and I wouldn't trust him as a WR.

He's a fast horse with a Kentucky Derby attitude and a Chattanooga Derby resume'. Should have let him go in the Spring. Now, we just have to try to maximize his talent, and minimize his shortcomings. Special teams is the best way to do that.

I'll be surprised if he's here next year, and unless he grows up...disappointed if he is.

It is what it is. I trust Heupel to find his best role, or show him the door.

Does anybody remember Jennings getting kicked off the team in 2014?

These same type of fans were calling him a “bad apple”.
“Mental case”

One of the few things Pruitt did right was give him a chance…
- Jennings went on to torch Florida!
- Catch a Hail Mary to beat UGA! Guys that 2016 game was the last time we beat UGA. Think about that. It’s 2025.
- a respected and clutch NFL WIDE RECEIVER.

All because coach gave him a chance.

Heupel has already decided on this kid. For better or worse but you NEGATIVE, constantly bashing types that honestly just want to see the kid fail make it hard for other Tennessee fans to enjoy the good times like TODAY.

Kid made his choice/decision. He's way behind in terms of reps and conditioning. Suspect it will take several more weeks to get up to speed. That being the case I'd focus on the players who put their work in and are ready to contribute. Wouldn't waste time on him. If he gets back to where he needs to be, great. Until then I'm focused on this team and the players who did things the right way. Team first. It's up to Carter to get up to speed.

It's kind of ridiculous the amount of posters rooting against a kid wearing orange giving his all for UT. Embarrassing

No disagreement necessarily, but how much you wanna wager he's gone by January? I'd bet a substantial amount lol.

Jennings wasn’t skipping team workouts and team meetings. Jennings was a team guy. Big difference.

as someone from southeast tn, who lives where he played HS ball, the family part will never stop he had troubles before he transferred to Bradley Central and had to move to a school more than 20 miles from the previous 'incident'

I’m not going to pile on Boo. He missed the sack, I’m sure he’s much more angry that he did than we are. But I am going to say that I loved seeing the coaching staff giving their trust to so many young guys in the secondary. And I thought they all played very well. Farooq looked really good and I think the coaches found out next “seatbelt” in Redmond! All of that without possible the best CB in the country!

So what if he is? He's wearing orange now. His goal is to play in the NFL, are you dumb enough to believe he's willing to tank his own stock to stick it to UT? Ridiculous

Edit. Quoted the wrong post. Can't be bothered to fix it. Too much celebration juice
