Basically you're a liar just like your buddy. No one worth their salt on the hill would let a mouth breather like you near any of the players. You've never done anything of consequence to be afforded that opportunity. Unless you count your imaginary coaching accolades where you claim to be superior to Heupel.Don’t care
As far as cutting ties. I don’t disagree but will leave that up to CJH. Also I will say, my wife grew up with drug head parents that ended up dying from a drug overdose and a car wreck from running from the police and now she works for the state, takes cares of the kids and a full time student. Us outsiders only knows so much and if CJH can turn the kid around, absolutely great. If he can’t and Boo refuses to do what he needed to do, that’s on him.. it’s up to us as individuals but we aren’t what our parents were. (My parents were great and still great people)Apple doesn’t far from the tree. We need to cut ties now. He will be making business decisions on the field
In this case it’s fact and I was only talking about boo and his mom and making a statement about those 2. You are a sensitive moran. But cool you took in a kid in a bad situationThat’s so wrong. I have a 9 year old little girl that we took in that is so far from her mother or father that it’s ridiculous. Can’t group everyone into one. I know that as an absolute fact
You read way to much into that statement about boo being an apple and his mom the tree and not everyone else in the freaking world. Get a grip or maybe you will be posting on Facebook like boomomAs far as cutting ties. I don’t disagree but will leave that up to CJH. Cavpuke is a sad sack troll. So Heupel shouldn't have signed a talented kid from nearby Chattanooga because...he had the potential to be a problem down the road? Guess what...you won't win a damn thing if that's your approach. Most of the high end talent you sign in football has the potential to be a problem down the road.
You know who finished 2nd in that recruitment? Jim Harbaugh. Does he not know what he's doing? If Tennessee hadn't signed him, you and others would be gnashing teeth that this staff let a talented instate kid get away.
And this isn't baseball. Totally different dynamic and personality type with baseball kids. Instead of comparing across sports, compare to the most successful active coach in college football. Does Kirby Smart avoid signing a talented player because there is potential that he could be a problem down the road? I think you know the answer.
I am starting to think maybe we should have cut ties with Boo and his family. There is way too much drama here with his mother to deal with.
Cousins, but point taken.Boo...maybe. Family? No way. His big brother Arion is our starting LB and plays at an all SEC level. Team leader on the leadership council and by all accounts a great guy. Thats why the "nut doesn't fall far from the tree" doesn't make sense in this scenario. Boo seems to have some issues and his mom does also based on her social media posts...but Arion is a great asset to our team and all VOL. I would think he's the guy that captains our defense this season with the radio in his helmet. He will get everyone where they are supposed to be pre-snap.
Some of you folks might want to consider Arion before making comments about mom...she definitely raised at least one son right. I admit that I don't understand her comments etc, but Arion is a VFL and I am not gonna badmouth his mama regardless. GO VOLS
THOTI’m not judging. From her FB page.

Heupel and co. did the eval on both these guys. They met and got to know both players and their families. Seem to recall some posts expressing some concern about Carter's issues off the field during his recruitment.
Every coach dances to his own tune, but Vitello won't recruit a kid if he's all about the money or his family appears problematic. Probably learned his lesson with Burns, but the buck stops with Heupel. I suspect he felt like he could guide the kid through all this and keep the families in line, but it appears that wasn't the case. Played with fire and got burned at least once. Let's see how this Carter situation unfolds going forward and how things play out with the roster and locker room.
How is he "trying". By being late? Of all the things that go into playing a team sport, showing up on time for practice is the easiest of them all. That he would do this after all that's happened before tells me that this kid just isn't with the team concept. Heupel took the step and tried a balancing act between Carter and the team, and that's fine. I applaud him for not being reactionary, but there has to be a limit. Heupel lets this continue any further, and he's putting his respect and IMO, his leadership in peril. Gonna say it again. Kelly Washington. It was never the same for Fulmer after that. When Cut left, that was all she wrote for him. Heupel has only one choice IMO.Listen, the kid's trying. He is obviously trying. And sure, he's still failing from time to time if the rumours about late to practice are true. But he's trying.
He may not have been dealt the best starting hand in the world, so let's give him a little support. For those who can't do that much, maybe at least a little biting your tongue. Let's see how he does. No doubt the players and coaches are going to hold him to the standards.
I for one hope the lad pulls it together and has a great season as a Volunteer.
Go Vols!
Maybe I should correct my statement to Boo and his mother. You are correct Arion seems like a fine young man and will be a VFL.Boo...maybe. Family? No way. Edit: correction Boo and Arion are cousins (1st?) Sorry. I still feel the same way about treating family with respect though.
