Boo Carter (Status, Rumors, Updates)

Couldn’t care less if he plays or not.

We’ve already gone through drama with Nico & his dad.

At some point, Boo will have to grow up and take responsibility for his actions.

His mom isn’t making the situation better either.

The path he’s on now, he won’t make an NFL roster
Yeah, he’s obviously going threw some things.

A good ole trip to a 3rd world country would do him wonders in life. Volunteer at an orphanage in Senegal and see how he feels about his “struggle”.

Yeah, I don’t see this ending well for Boo. We’ve seen this before.

Take it for what it’s worth but Basilio said this morning he’s been told that Boo has already been late to a practice since being back.

The whole situation just feels like a ticking time bomb at this point.

Sadly we won’t know anything until 18 days from now unless he gets kicked off or quits. CJH won’t say anything otherwise. But I agree, lots of smoke out there. I’m convinced that social media will be the undoing of society

I don’t have a problem w/ the players getting $ for being entertainment in a multibillion industry. I have a problem that the powers that be allowed it to get to this far where the power totally stays with the athlete. You can’t have unlimited $ combined with unlimited transfer options. Yes there are a few rules in place where you can’t to another conference team after a certain portal window or something, but it’s essentially the same as Mahomes being a free agent every year and threatening to go to the Broncos or Chargers if he doesn’t like his $ or the build of the team . It’s so shortsighted and weak minded and it’s just another example of how soft some people have gotten.

They've always gotten money, do you know the cost of a 4-year, full scholarship, to the UoT? It's a rhetorical question and I know you understand.

This NIL stuff not only wasn't needed, it has tarnished amateur athletics and is turning loyalty on its head. Every player is a yearly free agent, there's no loyalty, only to the dollar. They could have just allowed athletes to market themselves and set a cap on the amount an athlete could earn, say $100k, and go back to the transfer rules where if you transfer to another D1 school, you have to sit a year.

I agree, but there’s just so much in tv and everything else. If the NCAA would’ve just said here’s $10k for everyone all of this could’ve been avoided.

There are some really good players on this team. I’ve met most of the LB room as well as few D-linemen and those guys are pros. I mean incredible young men. This is exactly why I believe the team council wanted Boo gone. I think if you took the NIL money away, it wouldn’t look much different. I don’t agree with it, but the players are who the players are, period.

I’ve looked at several NIL deals and they use a strike system that docks the player a months pay for certain infractions. Boo is getting ready to piss away a healthy income. No doubt someone will pick him up, but Nico overplayed his hand and look how that wound up. Less money and much worse team.
