Deer park has mentioned this as well. It was a 10 year agreement and are sold above face value 10 years ago, we had tons of unsold tickets. I think it will expire in a year or two. Hopefully, they will not renew as long as interest is as high as they report it to be.

Agreed the agreement was made 10 years ago when the stadium only had 60-80k in it every weekend. Hopefully when the contract expires we don’t renew or cut the number of tickets allocated to them.

I don’t have any inside info or anything but just from what I’ve seen from Boo and his family I don’t see a scenario where he plays his entire college career here. He may even play for us this season but I expect to do this all over again for the portal next off season with him.

How do you plan to monitor back channel contact between other schools and players, their family, agent, and in this case the new agent the player hired without telling the first one?

That wasn’t an unsubstantiated rumor. UT sells a significant number of tickets to brokerages. UT also just released a bunch of single game tickets.

It sounds logical. Can you point me in a direction to find out more?

Heupel and co. did the eval on both these guys. They met and got to know both players and their families. Seem to recall some posts expressing some concern about Carter's issues off the field during his recruitment.

Every coach dances to his own tune, but Vitello won't recruit a kid if he's all about the money or his family appears problematic. Probably learned his lesson with Burns, but the buck stops with Heupel. I suspect he felt like he could guide the kid through all this and keep the families in line, but it appears that wasn't the case. Played with fire and got burned at least once. Let's see how this Carter situation unfolds going forward and how things play out with the roster and locker room.
