I'm coming around to that idea. I don't know the difference between dismissal and him leaving on his own. That may be a piece of this or may not.Could be it is still a work in progress, that could go either way. POTENTIALLY Boo has been tasked to make it right before X, and it could involve multiple time intensive acts. So it is very possible we are not yet at the end game. May not be light switch simplistic. Non-compliance centric.
Coach may have a preferred timeline IF an exit is his preference. Being allowed on the practice field and being allowed in games are two different things. Taking his schollie vs creating displeasure to a level he will quit are also two different things with probable financial implications. Irrational ill timed responses could have their costs.
As character driven as our staff is it seems like it will be a tough road. But if he meets it, so be it. Don’t see a free pass in the works. But I have no more FACTS than have been shared in here and a few radio shows in the car. Need a validated list to get cocky. Expect some leakage from both sides real soon and continuing till conclusion.
The BYU QB apparently was going to be suspended for several games instead of dismissed and that forced him to withdraw and walk on at Tulane instead of getting a "free" transfer because of dismissal.
Perhaps that's the plan UT has: announce a multi game suspension for Boo so he wants to leave and make him walk on elsewhere. If that's the plan, the longer they wait to announce it, the harder it is for Boo to find a spot. Perhaps that's not the plan and dismissal vs withdrawal makes no difference.
Someone here may know, I don't.
