Boo Carter rumors from Basilio

If Boo is back on the team, then we should assume it's with the leadership council's blessing; Heupel doesn't strike me as the type to risk the chemistry of his locker room by going against the culture that he's established (B!tch Jones would, but that guy was a hypocritical dumba**)

LOL, yeah that’ll show the team.

The hell with everybody else as long as Boo is happy.

Some of you guys should hear yourself right now. 😂
You all should hear yourselves if we lose all these talented players and then proceed to lose a close game to Florida or Bama on the road.

Some on here are quick to kick players out of the program upon the first rumor that they stepped out of line. Many don't even know fact from fiction. Yet, if there is rumors someone might hit the transfer portal a contingent of fans will kick that player out the door before substantiating the actual situation and letting the kid work things out.

College Football has changed. Some fans fail to accept that. These kids are being pulled from many directions. Some of whom have found themselves in a position where they have decent money for the first time. Kids who didn't grow up in the best circumstances yet now have all these alleged offers being whispered through their agents. God forbid if one falls out if line, or gets an inflated ego, and needs to be straightened up. Yet, many on here have already cut ties with them at the first sign of problems.

Swain, on Friday, said he'd be "shocked and floored" if Boo is back with the team when practice starts. I think we might as well move on from another DIVA that thinks he is bigger than the Power T.
AP and a couple of others have said (or implied) that he is expected show up to the team meeting on Sunday and Fall camp on Monday. Whether or not he does is still TBD. But at the moment, he has not been kicked off the team.

“Gossiping” is what old ladies do. Fighting and cussing people out on volnation.com for days is what tough guy alpha male high level athletes do.
And passive aggressive behavior misrepresenting what people say is what snowflake beta clowns do. Guess I would be mad too if I looked up one day and felt insignificant because I chose not to apply myself in life.

If I were a betting man, I’d wager that Boo will be cut loose.
But, since I don’t have all of the details, I wouldn’t bet on it one way or the other.
If they were going to do that, I suspect they would have done it by now especially after Nico. I'm betting Heupel takes him back and tries to smooth things over with the media and fans. Players won't be fooled tho. You can count on that.

There's a players(swains) perspective and there's a coaches(heupels) perspective. Guess which one carries the day?

Are Tennessee fans concerned about Boo's well being or stressing over losing a guy in Secondary?
Practically, I don't know Boo Carter personally so my concern for his personal well being is on a par with the guy I passed on I-40 yesterday who seemed to be struggling emotionally from my quick glance into his vehicle.

My real input into Boo's life and well being is essentially zero.

Now, my real input into the Vols secondary is.....I got nothing.

We're on a message board, man. It's like old men sitting around the local Hardee's over coffee. We're loud in our room but a mosquito fart in the big scheme of things.

Coldly, who cares about our concern? What kind of question is that?

I don’t say this jokingly when I say this decision on Boo could make or break Heupel’s time here.

If he lets him back on the team and the antics continue you’ll have guys start checking out in the locker room. The whole “nobody’s above the Power T” motto will ring hollow as will Heup’s voice.

I trust that Heupel will make the right decision but I’ve also seen countless times where a good-hearted coach thinks they can save a kid and it blows up in their face.

This is eerily similar to the Jeremy Banks situation who Heupel showed grace towards and we saw how that ended here.

I agree. Posted similar thoughts but not with Banks as my reference. For me it was Kelly Washington. I'll always believe that Fulmer lost a lot of support with his roster and with some fans. The death blow was losing cut who was more of the disciplinarian. Starting to sound familiar? Yeah, me too.

Doubt he brings him back unless there's a measure of blessing from the players... Heupel ignoring his players would be a Butch-level misstep, and he doesn't seem like that level of a dumb ass to me 😂

I speak for everyone when I saw how impressed we are with you.
You speak for yourself but use the buddy system because you need that security to feel validated. My guess is fishing for likes because you need the attention. Just so you know, none of these anonymous internet posters are your 'friends'. You probably think strippers like you too.

I’m amazed at this thread. I’d dare say that no one who has made a post on this topic has 1st hand knowledge of whatever is going on. Everyone is basing their opinions on second, third and fourth hand conversations, rumors and innuendo. Before being critical of Heupel, hoping Carter is kicked off the team or hoping for some negative outcome, let’s chill and wait for Huepel or others with actual involvement let us know. If he needs to go, I have no doubt he will be cut loose. Let’s not shoot first and get the facts later.

This is not Boo’s first sign of problems.

This thread keeps on giving ha. The amount of you trying to prepare yourselves for him being kicked off. I’m going to keep beating the drum…

This kid is playing at Tennessee this season. I can’t wait till this presser ha.
If he does, it will be because Josh and the leadership council accepted him back. If they do, we should all be good with that. But if they do, he’ll be on a very short leash. We shall see if he can live by the team rules. I wouldn’t be too quick to pat yourself on the back because it isn’t over until he makes it through the season.

I think highly of Swain, but he is not on the coaching staff, nor knows everything they know. Let's just let it play out.
Swain is a radio personality. Hes paid to offer his opinion on things. You're probably right he doesn't know as much as the coaching staff but I guarantee you he knows more than the average fan do. Hes also looking at this from a perspective that many here cannot, and that is a player's perspective, and one at the University of Tennessee. He may end up being wrong. But I kind of doubt it.
