Boo is a really good player. He deserves special treatment. Just try and pretend like we held him accountable. But most if all we need him on the team and need him on defense. We can't run off every player who steps out of line. We already lost Jakobe Thomas to Miami. Let's keep what we have. We already did our part by standing up to Nico.

Coaches always have to weigh the pros and cons when dealing with players like this. Fulmer and Majors had their fair share of talented players that were difficult. Some were dismissed while others were tolerated. Winning games is the ultimate goal. Hopefully this situation gets resolved and the team is ready for a great upcoming season.

That’s what you have leadership council for on the team. Ultimately team gets the say if a guy comes back or not. I do think most of the time there is a path back if someone cares enough to take it. Accountability is hard for some though.

What happened is true. Its been reported by multiple sources and even Swain who doesn’t like to out players thought it wasn’t likely he would be back. He said as a player he wouldnt expect the other players to accept him back.

Didn't he flirt with the portal last year, too? If he knew he could move today and play right away, he'd be gone. You can't depend on this guy. Why risk ruining the locker room for the coming season when you're already playing with house money from Nico? Next year Boo will probably be in Boulder but the damage here will certainly linger. This is a no brainer. You cut this kid loose and take a stand. Send a message and unify the locker room. Be smart Heupel.

Boo is an incredibly talented player, but he has a tendency to be easily influenced and isn’t always the sharpest. His mother, unfortunately, doesn’t help matters. She’s been a constant source of drama, always talking when she should be quiet and weighing in on situations she clearly doesn’t understand. She’s often misinformed and seems more interested in chasing money than in supporting Boo’s well-being. As a mother figure, she’s supposed to be a role model, but instead, she behaves more like a teenager.

As for those who think Boo deserves special treatment, I’d urge you to rethink that perspective. As someone who coaches football, I can tell you that no individual player should be above the team. Giving anyone special treatment is the quickest way to destroy a football team. It creates division, and things will fall apart fast.

If I were a betting man, I’d wager that Boo will be cut loose.
But, since I don’t have all of the details, I wouldn’t bet on it one way or the other.

Me as a Vol fan was happy how it turned out but it really should have been offsetting penalties which would have been back breaking. I said to my buddy at the time a player that young going off at a critical time with trash talking and he threw a punch that missed and the refs missed it too. This will hurt us in games down the road unless he matures. IMO he's one of those players that could end up like Juan Jennings and things fall into place and play in the NFL or he could end up screwing up his career.
