Boo Carter rumors from Basilio

So he should be kicked off the team for missing "activities." Not a game, not practice. And we don't know his reason for missing or any details. Like I said, if that's all this is, give him his ass chewing, suspend him the first game if necessary, and we move on. You don't kick one of your best players off the team for missing "activities." We've had kids engage in criminal activity and keep their spot.
Who said Boo is one of our best players?

He should be dealt with the way Coach Heupel and the team see fit and what is best for the locker room.

I appreciate your input but I'll roll with whatever Coach Heupel and the team have seen, not heard as rumors, and decide is appropriate. They may have done the ass chewing already and perhaps it took, perhaps it didn't.

I suspect, however, that ass chewing situations for missing a meeting or two or whatever are not the kind of thing that hits the rumor mill and stays there for a week, but what do you think?

I'm sure we don't hear of every kid who screws up, disrespects the team a time or two, or whatever because those things happen and are dealt with and never leave the building.

This feels different doesn't it?

It does but he's a high profile player. I agree though let's just let CJH handle it how he sees fit. He knows all the facts, we literally know nothing.

You do if it’s causing division in your locker room.

It does. He’s gone and I’ll be shocked if otherwise.

We NEVER know much.

We knew little about Nico other than what was reported AND that it didn't go away.

Sometimes we hear that there was an issue and Heupel appears and clears it up straight away with a "we handled that internally" and it goes away.

Heupel didn't clear this up and he could've if there was a clear ass chewing end to it already. That would have made it disappear. He didn't.

Why didn't he just say, "We've got this. It's handled?" I can't say why with certainty but that would've been the best thing for the program and it didn't happen.

He hasn't been in front of a microphone since this came out. None of this had come out before SEC media days iirc. He'll probably clear it up before it's even open to questions at the fall practice presser.

He's almost certainly spoken to Hubbs or someone or COULD have just made a quick statement to anyone in the press who surely have been asking for a statement.

He didn't. It wouldn't have taken more than a sentence or two and poof. Gone. That's all it would've taken to put it to bed.

He didn't. What else can one believe from that except it isn't some little something?

He was the best true freshman DB I've seen since EB. Name a better one. You can't because true freshman DBs don't see the field unless they are elite.
No dog in this fight, (I know Berry was still there) but give me Janzen Jackson. Shame he couldn’t keep his head on straight. Huge waste of talent.

I’m betting Boo wanted to play offense & defense, the coaches probably told him to stick to defense, he got pissed and decides he just may not play for UT, they said on sports animal this afternoon that apparently he has a new players rep ( meaning someone that would negotiate on his behalf?? maybe shopping around for div 2 teams ? ). Who knows

If he doesn’t want to play for UT, I say “good luck young man, but you’re making a mistake “

I trust that the team and coaches will do the right thing.

I can tell you’ve never played organized sports considering how easily you are excusing Boo’s behavior for missing workouts while the rest of the team is busting their ass and showing up and doing what is expected of them. Quit making excuses for someone who is likely making more money annually than a significant portion of this fanbase and who is failing to live up to his promises.
