could the football staff, coaches, players, bloggers, journalists, youtubers and fans stop being so dramatic? Could they stop running to the microphones every time they hear a juicy rumor or get mad at somebody?
How do we know that Boo didn't have a private personal situation arise that required him to take some time away? This happens a lot every year but do players get accused of gang activity every time a grandma dies or they go through a rough breakup?
The baseless rumors that have been circulating and digging up stuff from when this guy was in highschool is completely unacceptable. There is enough drama in this sport these days without people outside that building adding a healthy dose of rat poison to the mix. Tony Basilio is a piece of ****.
Practice hasn't started. If anything he missed team meetings, which makes all this ridiculous if that's all it is. Suspend him the first half or the whole first game and move on.I don’t think Adam Sparks or Brent Hubbs risk their reputation to confirm some of the rumors about him missing practice and pissing off his teammates if it was because Boo had a family member die or his girlfriend broke up with him….that seems like wishful thinking at best.
LMAO I remember those daysIf this ends the way it appears it will, I will be grateful. I recall vividly how excited we all were about our receiving corps in 2012 and then Da'rick couldn't lay off the Mary Jane and got kicked off the team. I wonder if that would even get you kicked off today? Anyway, this is a much better result than that one should things work out. And we all hope Boo took accountability and learned from this. No guarantees though.
Yep. It’s obviously true that he went MIA and missed a bunch of meetings and workouts. That’s not even debatable at this point after their reporting. It’s just a matter of how bad it got and if it reached the point of no return.I don’t think Adam Sparks or Brent Hubbs risk their reputation to confirm some of the rumors about him missing practice and pissing off his teammates if it was because Boo had a family member die or his girlfriend broke up with him….that seems like wishful thinking at best.
He demanded last winter to play offense then skips all the summer workouts with a new QB to work on timing and establish a bond so I would say yes practice or not this is a big deal. The question now is CJH going to let him play offense and if he doesn’t does he get mad and quit on us.Practice hasn't started. What they should have done to begin with is agree to pay each player a reasonable "living" wage up front and put the rest in a trust that each player could collect upon graduation or after 3 years when they declared for the NFL draft. This whole idea of handing over 18-21 year olds 6 or 7 figure upfront payouts just to come to the school was idiotic!^^^This^^^.....You can blame players and agents but the NCAA's lack of foresight made this happen....if you lose 9-0 in the Supreme Court, whatever your arguments may have been were pretty worthless....
Again, you are making assumptions. You don't know what he missed. For all we know it was 1 team meeting. He didn't miss any spring practice that I know of.He demanded last winter to play offense then skips all the summer workouts with a new QB to work on timing and establish a bond so I would say yes practice or not this is a big deal. So he should be kicked off the team for missing "activities." Not a game, not practice. And we don't know his reason for missing or any details. Like I said, if that's all this is, give him his ass chewing, suspend him the first game if necessary, and we move on. You don't kick one of your best players off the team for missing "activities." We've had kids engage in criminal activity and keep their spot.Adam Sparks reported it as:
"Knox News has learned that Carter missed numerous team activities, and he was confronted by team leaders because of his absence."
But I'm sure he just makes stuff up all the time.
